Scenic and Relaxing Boat Ride |

We thoroughly enjoyed the boatride. The little restaurant at the marina is fabulous The drive from Mesa was about 40 minutes and even that was picturesque. The lake is beautiful and the captain did a nice job of narrating. |

An afternoon on the Desert Belle cruising Saguaro Lake is an afternoon well spent. The scenery is beautiful and the captain a joy. We learned so much about the area-

Wonderful scenic desert vistas from tour boat, with informative tour on desert vegetation,
Boarding of boat could be more organized. Customers were lining up and pushing and shoving trying to be first in line. Perhaps the same method as Canyon Lake tour could be used, where customers receive a number on a card and the customers are called to board in number order. Also several parties were in the lineup and did not know that they had to check in and receive boarding tickets - so, it would be good to inform customers before they arrive of the procedure. The groups were very upset they lost their first places in the lineup, and there were families with younger children who were disappointed at their seating. Perhaps this will help your company deal with future customers. |

recommend you arrive a couple hours early and enjoy a very good meal in the restaurant - be sure to bring your binoculars, cameras, and sun screen - the actual boat tour was very well done - the surroundings were beautiful! |

We've taken this tour several times and have enjoyed it each time. The Captain has a great sense of humor and is very well-versed. The wait to board is pleasant, but I would advise getting tickets in advance over the internet... just make sure to check the weather forcast first. I don't think a rainy trip would be as relaxing.
All in all, it's almost a "must" for visitors to the desert. |

We took the 10:30am trip on a Saturday. There were 6 adults. We all really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the wildlife & the detailed information by our captain. We even saw an eagle perched high on the rocks! Afterwards, we had lunch at the restaurant & sat outdoors. The food was great!. |
