Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise of Bar Harbor

This excursion was everything that we had hoped for! Everyone enjoyed it from grandparents to parents to our 9 year old son. Our son said that Diver Ed's teaching, fun attitude and hands on displays were the best ever! I would recommend this to everyone! It was definitely a highlight of our East Coast trip!

Very well done from beginning to end. A great experience, especially for kids. Our grandson is still talking about it!

Everyone on the trip obviously had a great time. And all the kids were fully engaged, soaking up the information about all the fascinating sea creatures filmed live on the sea floor in their natural habitats and brought up to the boat by Diver Ed.

This was the highlight of our week. Diver Ed and Capt. Evil are a great team. They were so informative and entertaining. They are very knowledgeable and deliver information with comedic flair which kids of all ages can enjoy. There were no fussy or bored children (or adults) on this tour!

Diver Ed was great! We took our 4 kids and it was SO much fun for them. Diver Ed is hilarious and really taught the kids a lot about the animals. It was so neat to see the ocean floor from the big camera he dives with and he brought up tons of animals for the kids to hold and learn about! I would do this again in a heart beat! The owners were super nice too!!

My 7 and 4 year old sons and I went out on Memorial Day weekend with Diver Ed and Captain Evil. Given that it is not cheap, we were hopeful it would be worth it. The trip blew us away. Ed and Evil and are very entertaining and we learned a ton about the sea creatures that live below us. Plus, the technology of seeing the video on the high-def camera through the screen was amazingly clear. We really felt as if we were at the bottom of the ocean. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone, especially families with children. The only hiccup is that the ticketing agent was not able to clearly explain where to meet up on the College of the Atlantic campus. The proper place to meet is in the museum building, which is across the street from the giant whale skull. The building has a very small sign which is very hard to see from the road.

This is a warm, enthusiastic view of the sea & its creatures for young & old. I (65) was enchanted as was my 3 year old friend & her mother. If we had only seen harbor seals & porpoises (which we did) it would have been enough but Diver Ed's dive & exposition of the sea creatures was to die for (my 3 year old companion who was "a little bit scared" of getting on the boat thought so too.

My grandchild talked about the experience a lot and my daughter liked it as well. We all enjoyed the whole trip and would recommend it to anyone no matter the age.

Informative and humorous. Fun time

If you are visiting Mount Desert Island with children, I highly recommend Diver Ed's boat cruise. He's very entertaining and funny, and of course knowledgeable about all the creatures to be found on the bottom of the ocean. He and his wife, "Dr. Evil," have their schtick down. My girls LOVED it. They were a bit shy about touching the animals, and I really appreciated that both Diver Ed and his wife made an effort to bring some over for them to see up close. We'd definitely do it again.
