| We set out on a foggy evening cruise. From the very minute we stepped on board, Diver Ed was entertaining. Captain Evil (there's a theme of super heroes!), a.k.a. Diver Ed's wife Edna, gave a super on-boat play-by-play of the view from the underwater camera as Ed dove for wonderful sea treasures. Our 3 daughters, ages 10, 8 & 5, were amazed. Their descriptions are: Fun!, Hysterical!, Awesome!, Exciting!
Once Diver Ed was back on board, he discussed the sea creatures that he brought up from the ocean floor...we got to hold lobsters, sea cucumbers, sea stars (starfish), one little sea urchin (pretty rare, apparently), sand dollars, different types of crabs, and much more! (Oh...there were several young boys on the boat, and they howled with laughter when a sea cucumber "pooped" on camera.--of course, the girls all went "ewwww", and pretty much the whole boat was in stitches!)
My husband & I found it both entertaining and educational --or "funducational" as my husband says! (but shhhh--don't tell the kids!) The fog lifted as we headed back to port in time to see a fabulous sunset over Bar Harbor. One of our girls and another little boy on the boat spotted a seal swimming near us on the return trip, too.
I would HIGHLY recommend this trip to families. We hope to do it again the next time we're in Bar Harbor.
Book it quick, before it sells out!! You'll be glad you did!! :-)

Great Time With Diver Ed

| 2 adults, 2 kids ages 8 and 11 went out with another family with a 2 year old and a 7 year old while vacationing in Acadia Park area.
We loved Diver Ed, he was goofy in an entertaining way. The kids had a blast and learned a lot about underwater life in Maine. The 2 year old kissed a sea cucumber, and the 11 year old was fascinated by the "poop" of the critters.
If you want to push diver ed off the boat, sit near the back of the boat.
I am not one who usually writes reviews, but anyone who has the chance to go on this boat ride /comedy hour will not regret it. Have fun. |

| This was our third year on DiverEd, our whole family loves it that much. This combination diving expedition with HD camera (only Ed and mini-Ed get wet, mostly) and hands-on exploration of the local marine life is fun for all (we take 3 generations on board), and especially great for the age 4-11 crowd. Not to be missed. |

| We took our 5 and 6 year old sons on this trip, and it is was amazing. We learned so much about the ocean and never laughed so hard at the same time. Our sons wanted to go back the next day. Unforgetable highlight of our summer. There were teenagers on the boat enjoying themselves just as much as my five year old. Great event for any age. You will want to go back. |

| Diver Ed's enthusiasm for sea life and for sharing it with the kids made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. Our 6 year old had a great time learning about the sea cucumbers, sea stars, and lobsters while getting drenched by Diver Ed's antics. My family enjoyed this tour so much. |

| Diver Ed is an excellent experience for kids and adults. Eddie and Edna are wonderful
naturalists and the kids just love it. Educational, funny, a great time for the entire family. |

| I have been to Bar Harbor for many years and try to come each year. Being from the midwest area I miss the ocean and love Maine...but this trip my granddaughter accompanied me and I thought this would be fun for her.....she loves all creatures.
But was I ever surprised when I found myself glued to the screen as Diver Ed explored the ocean floor with his camera......WOW it was thrilling to see the lobster move with such speed...and backwards......and I learned so much...
Oh by the way.......my granddaughter had a smile on her face the entire time......Diver Ed is a hoot and his dogs are gems........I would highly recommend this adventure for young and old......alike...........don't miss it! Both Diver Ed and his wife make the trip such a delight......really worth the money...... |
