Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise of Bar Harbor

This was a return visit for us and it was just as good as I remembered it. Diver Ed and Captian Evil are funny and friendly ocean educators. We were happy to see the Newfies on board (our kids love dogs). We arrived early to spend some time on the beautiful COA campus. We followed a trail to the water and climbed along the rocks until we reached the beach. My 14 and 11 year old enjoyed it as much as my 4 year old did. Getting to learn and touch these sea creatures is a treat.

Highly recommend Diver Ed. It was the highlight of our trip. Kids really enjoyed it, but us adults had as much fun as they did. Very informative and very original .

THe sea creatures brought up included crabs, lobsters, sea stars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, etc. The kids and then parents got to hold these creatures after being given a very entertaining, educational, and often very funny talk on them by Diver Ed. 5 stars+++.

Diver Ed and Captain Edna are great! They're so entertaining that it's easy to forget you're learning stuff. It's extremely cool to watch when Diver Ed takes the camera down to the bottom. And Mini-Ed is such a funny addition! We also loved seeing the seals. And, being dog lovers, we really enjoyed having their 2 Newfoundlands on board - they're so sweet! We had a really good time. The only down side was that there were really annoying flies that kept biting our legs - bring bug spray; we wish we hadn't left ours in our car!

Diver Ed, Captain Evil and their family were wonderful! They relate to children at their level and educate and include them on all activities! Our family couldn't have enjoyed it more! This was an activity that will never be forgotten by anyone in our group! What a fantastic way to educate children and adults on what was happening under the water!

Our family ages 10 to 70 enjoyed the trip immensly. Diver ED has a over the top personality which brings everybody into the experience, and if you are a Food Channel fan, he reminds us of Mario Battali which to us is a serious compliment. Captain Evil and the rest of the crew also should be commended for their exceptional educational and social skills . Loved the dogs too!

We have been going on the trip with Diver-Ed yearly for almost ten years now. It is a family tradition that we look forward to continuing. Our children have always loved it and still do even though they are in their teens now. It is educational, funny and beautiful!

This is our second trip with Diver Ed and we've thoroughly enjoyed each one. Diver Ed and Evil Edna are an encyclopedic source of information on the local sea creatures.
