Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise of Bar Harbor

We took our son PJ on this tour because of his love of the ocean and all of it's creatures. What a fantastic time we had. Diver Ed is great with the kids, and very funny and entertaining! He and his wife took the time to make our experience a memorable one. We even took a detour to see a group of seals lounging on a large rock. I highly recommend this adventure!

We loved our outing with Diver Ed and his crew. Our whole family was thoroughly entertained by Ed's humor-filled, educational presentation. His enthusiasm and obvious love for sea life are contagious. Would highly recommend this to families.

This was our second excursion with Diver Ed. Our son loved it the first time we took him about seven or so years ago. He requested that we take the trip again this summer and was very excited about going. He is now 13 and he still loved it. My husband is also a big kid, and I think he was just as excited and had just as much fun as our son. Diver Ed has so much energy and enthusiasm!! Everyone learns from the experience, and the kids absolutely love it! Captian Evil is a great balance for all of Diver Ed's energy. Would we do this yet a third time? You bet we would!!

I have been visiting the Bar Harbor area every summer since I was a little girl. Now that I am older and have two children of my own, we were looking for fun family things to do. A neighbor told us about Diver Ed. I checked it out on the web & it looked great. I was not dissappointed! Diver Ed and Evil Edna are terrific!!! My 4 year old daughter LOVED it! She even kissed a sea cucumber! Diver Ed ha a great sense of humor and explains things wonderfully to the kids. 2 hours on the boat was the perfect amount of time (actually, we spent 2 and a half hours out on sea because we saw several harbor porposes(spelling?) and followed them for a while~ BONUS!!) We will make Diver Ed part of our anual vacation! FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Diver Ed and his group did a fantastic job of making learning fun. He took time to introduce himself to each individual, remember where you were from, and create a unique interactive experience. From the moment you stepped onto the boat, he made you feel at home. My family is still talking about this part of our vacation, sharing with our friends and family. Everyone including my wife and I learned and laughed as he shared his love of the ocean and its creatures. I would recommend to others in a heartbeat. Well worth the money.

We loved the trip, and were amazed by diver Ed's knowlege. The kids were entertained the whole time and came away with some wonderful knowlege of the ocean life in the area.

our family has a wide range of ages - all the kids AND adults enjoyed diver ed! he is funny and he and his wife are very well informed about the region and marine life/ecosystem. the dogs on board were wonderful! it was much more educational than i expected...it's fun to learn without feeling cooped up in a classroom! i would take the shorter tour with small children. they get squirmy after an hour or so...

It was a cold and rainy day that our family of 15 adults and 5 children ages 1-6 went on this adventure and had it not been for the cold, it would have been perfect. Diver Ed was a caring, interactive, fun and funny man that did a wonderful job of engaging the children. Captian Evil was a knowlegable woman who held your interest while Diver Ed was under water.

I concur with just about every other review on here. Diver Ed is a MUST SEE if you are a family visiting Bar Harbor. Don't worry if the weather is rainy, the seating area of the boat is covered (in fact, on a non-sunny day, you can probably see the projector screen better with less glare anyway). Diver Ed and his cohorts do a great job of getting the kids involved, and making it a very fun, interactive, and educational experience. We had kids from 4-5 to the "surly preteens" as well who came into it thinking they were 'too cool" for the trip, but, they had a blast as well, paying a lot of attention to what Diver Ed was saying about all the creatures.

We had a phenomenal time and it rained and was freezing- Diver Ed kept us so entertained we didn't even realize the weather stunk. Imagine how awesome it will be the next time we go in the sunshine!
