Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise of Bar Harbor

Diver Ed loves the ocean and wants the rest of the world to love it as much as he does. He has a unique, fun loving approach to life which he brings with him to the cruise. The kids love him and learn a lot. Adults also can let down their hair and let their inner child come out to learn to love the sea creatures Diver Ed finds. This is a memorable experience unlike any other nature cruise you will take. I am very glad we did this, it was one of the high points of our trip.

I often leave in tears because there are very few public activities that can handle my kids and help entertain and re-direct them. You all we so wonderful. Zach and Jared had to be wrestled to the ground to get their Diver Ed shirts off. They are still laughing about it 7 days later. Diver Ed and Captain Evil provide a one of a kind adventure that the entire family will enjoy. The time flew by as we laughed, learned and got to explore the ocean and its creatures like never before. Hopefully we will be able to return to our beloved Bar Harbor, and when we do, another trip with Diver Ed and the crew will be at the top of our "To Do" list. Diver Ed is an excellent experience for kids and adults. Eddie and Edna are wonderful naturalists and the kids just love it. Educational, funny, a great time for the entire family.

My wife's parents live near Bangor, and we come up for a visit every summer to avoid some of the Phoenix heat. And each summer, we schedule a dive-in theater performance. The whole family has fun every time.

This is a great trip for families with young children. Diver Ed is really funny and makes a lot interactions with kids and his wife is super nice. The trip is both entertaining and educational. you can see their love and passion to the ocean.

This is our 4th year in a row with Diver Ed, his buddies Dan, Leviathan, and the rest of the crew on the Starfish Enterprise. Always full of energy. This ride can't be missed.

This is our 3rd sail with Diver Ed and his dive buddy, Diver Dan. Ed and his wife, Captain Evil, make the trip so much fun. There is very little "dead" time with lots of info and entertainment. Plenty of hands on time with the sea creatures. I don't know how they keep up the energy but they do.

This is our second year in a row sailing with Diver Ed. The boat ride is very short but you still may get a chance to see a harbor porpoise or an eagle. Once you drop anchor, you are entertained from the ocean floor with live video of animals in their habitats. But the fun is only beginning. When Diver Ed returns to the boat, he brings plenty of squishy, crawling, spraying, splashing creatures aboard. Very young children may be too intimidated by Ed's energetic presentation to sit right up front but they are welcome to snuggle with mom and dad and still get a good view of the show. Even though we are repeat customers, we enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Never boring, always a laugh, definitely check this out for great family fun in Bar Harbor.

This adventure was educational and fun, for both the kids and adults. Diver Ed has a kid's sensibility, in terms of what's funny and interesting, and Captain Evil is wonderfully informative, dryly funny, and a great calm counterpoint to Diver Ed. Our 4-year-old loved it and we're going again next summer.
