Extremely Enjoyable and Informative

The Diver Ed experience was so much fun I would recommend to anyone that they attend. You do not need children to enjoy this show. The crew is very friendly and assist you with any request that you may have. They allow you to touch all of the animals until you decide that you are done, which is rare. The park ranger was very informed and answered any questions that the group had. I cannot give a stronger endorsement of this tour. It made our stay in Bar Harbor.

really cool

Diver Ed is really cool. He goes out on his boat, and he dives into the water, which is cool. Then you get to see it all on a TV screen, and you get to see all kinds of sealife that he finds. His diver friend Mini Ed #126 gets into trouble with many things. His wife, Captain Evil, talks to Ed and tells about the creatures. Diver Ed puts much sealife into a mesh bag which he brings up and kids can touch the sealife. I would recommend Diver Ed to any kid.

My boyfriend and I chose this activity on our trip to Maine especially as it had been described as a boat trip that was geared more towards an adult audience. While we really enjoyed the scenery and the presentation, we were surprised to find a boat full of children on this tour. We would definitely recommend it for families with children!!!! Very well done!

Very knowledgeable park ranger and crew. Excellent on-board camera. Diver Ed also servers as an entertaining stand-up comedian. His ocean finds are brought up for all to see and hold. Cost is reasonable. Highly recommend.

A fun activity with an enthusiastic dive team

Diver Ed and company were very entertaining. They brought up all sorts of sea life from the bottom for everyone to look at and touch. The video feed was amazing HD quality. Dress warmly - we just about froze in late August and we were prepared with fleece jackets. It's a lot colder off shore.

Good trip but froze the entire time

The trip would have been very enjoyable if we were told in advance to wear warm clothing. It was a sunny 80 degree day and we wore shorts, and sandals bringing along very light jackets. We were told to bring a camera and lunch but there was no mention about it being very cold out on the water. We were so cold, shivering on the entire trip and it ruined the experience for us. We were not the only ones who dressed inappropriately. There were many other people on the boat wearing shorts and short sleeves who were also freezing. If we had worn long pants, heavy jackets and sneaks instead of sandals, we would have enjoyed the trip.

Ed, his commentator wife and the ranger were all very interesting and fun. We should have been warned about the temperature. It was a beautiful day but even with sweatshirts we froze and were so cold it was difficult to appreciate the experience. Zerve should have cautioned us about the temperature so we could have been prepared. I would also recommend having blankets or extra jackets for customers. We had sweatshirts but others on board did not and were visibly impacted.

Awesome--Don't miss this

This is probably the best boat excursion to do with children--Diver Ed and his wife are completely engaging and also extremely educational. Our kids (age 7 and 3-1/2) learned so much from this excursion, as did we. You get to see all of the sea creatures in their natural habitat at first and then Ed puts them in the bag to bring them up on the boat for you to touch and hold--very cool.
