| We are just back from ten days in the Bar Harbour / Acadia Nat. Park area. It was a beautiful early Fall vacation. Our favorite outing was this Diver Ed trip. First of all, it got us to the College of the Atlantic which is a very cool place.
I love the concept of learning AND having fun at the same time. Being able to see Diver Ed suit up, dive and encounter the ocean floor was pretty amazing. And the hands-on experience with the creatures he brought up was great.
Captain Edna is an amazing woman, and the Ranger was friendly, informative and easy to be around. It was great to have information so easily available to us. And the trip concluded with a rainbow that spanned two islands! My husband and I highly recommend this activity. |

| The cruise sails from College of the Atlantic, which is fascinating in its own right. The program is excellent for adults who have an interest in Maine sea life and enjoy a cruise. The Park Ranger was both enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Not only did we see eider ducks, gray & harbor seals, dolphins, gulls (of course), heard about the bird populations of the various islands circled, and viewed some of the lovely "cottages" along the cliffs, but then were enthralled with the video presentation of "Diver Ed'.
He dives to the sea floor to collect specimens of starfish, lobsters, sea cucumber (the source of chondroitin!), and other life forms which we then were permitted to touch and examine closely before they were returned to their habitat. "Diver Ed" has a great partner in his wife, who gives a running commentary of what we are seeing on the video screen.
It is a true bargain and delight and we were privileged to have the opportunity!
Thanks! |

| This was a fun 3 hours. Diver Ed and crew were very informative. The Ranger assigned was well qualified to inform us of what we were viewing. Hands on experience of sea creatures. I never thought that I would actually hold a sea cucumber. Our group certainly enjoyed this 3 hour tour. |

| Diver Ed is not shy about releasing his inner 10-year-old. That makes him entertaining to children, teens and adults. (Imagine John Belushi in a dry suit..) The national park ranger, Eleanor, was informative and funny as well. A great afternoon. |

| Diver Ed and Captain Evil really make this a fun and educational adventure. The "theater" is very cool and the mini-Ed (we were the maiden voyage of Mini-Ed #90) really helped to put things into perspective. We all had plenty of time to touch/feel all that Ed was able to net and get lots of questions answered. I highly recomment this trip to anyone that is near Bar Harbor. |

| DIver Ed is one of those lucky guys who really enjoy their job! He is as fun as he is informative, showing us sea creatures that he brings from the floor of the ocean to his passengers comfortably seated in his fine boat. Hold lobsters, crabs, sea cucumbers, sea stars and more!
The cruise takes you by Egg Island where seals are basking in the sun and close enough for some real good pictures. We even saw some young eagles on another of the islands we passed! |
