YOU HAVE TO TAKE THIS ADVENTURE!

This is THE BEST "tour" in Bar Harbor. Not only is Diver Ed hilarious, but he and his crew create a memorable educational voyage as well, catering to the children on board. My kids absolutely loved this experience! With help from Captain Evil, Deckhand Dick, and canine firstmates Halo and Levi, Diver Ed creates a fascinating comedic underwater adventure that is a must-see! See you next year! We can't wait!

Diver Ed is a Bar Harbor Treasure

This was hands-down the best thing we did with the kids in Bar Harbor! Better than whale watching. It is close-up, real, interactive fun and information about sea life happening at that minute on the bottom of the ocean. Both my 12 yr old boy and 9 yr old girl loved it! The adults loved it too!

A must see for kids of all ages
Tue, Jul 29, 08   1:30 PM jeanniec Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Done with flair and fun, this educational and entertaining sea excursion is WAY more engaging than any old whale watch. I recommend going on a tuesday or thursday when the ride is an hour longer with the additional commentary of an expert from Acadia National Park. It was the highlight of the trip for my 2 boys, ages 9 &12. Plan ahead and make your reservations for this fantastic adventure - I wont give any details because i dont want to spoil it for people - but just know you and your kids will see and maybe feel some of the most interesting sealife in the atlantic ocean.

YOU MUST DO THIS BOAT TOUR!
Tue, Jul 29, 08   5:30 PM macsmithie Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I had as much fun as the kids on board! Diver Ed is funny, entertaining and he knows his ocean! I recommend this tour for all ages if you want to see the sea life of this area. It was so interesting to watch the screen of what Diver Ed had on camera under the sea. His use of Mini Ed helped with perspective but when he brought the sea life back to the boat.....that was spectacular! My favorite was holding a sea cucumber...what an awesome creature. Diver Ed did "make" me kiss a crab..but the crab was cute! I hope to be back next summer to do it all again!!!! Martha Smith (over 40, by a bit) Texas

Diver Ed was both fun and educational. Our 8 year old had a great time even though he wouldn't touch the lobster. He especially loved the dogs. I would definitely recommend it to families with children. It was entertaining for the adults as well.

This is our fourth year going on Diver Ed. It's the first thing our son asks to do each year during our Maine vacation. Diver Ed is very entertaining for both adults and children - he's quite a funny guy!! At the same time, lots of learning about ocean wildlife and conservation but in a fun way. Highly recommended!

Diver Ed and his crew were the right mix of education and entertainment. Our family of four (2 children 7 & 5 years of age and parents ) truely enjoyed the Diver Ed Bar harbor tour. After each activity we participated in we "rated" them as 1, 2, 3, every one agreed as the "DIVE IN THEATER" being the best (#1) buy far. We crossed paths with a couple without kids that took the tour later that evening and they asked how we liked it. We shared our thoughts on how we rated it with our other tours, and they agreed!! GREAT JOB!!! My family and I all agree we would do it again, and the price is more than worth the quality of the trip. Thank you all.

Thoroughly enjoyed Diver Ed. This is a must do if you have kids. Our kids, ages 9 and 5, had the best time. Diver Ed is a very entertaining person, and kept everyone's attention for over two hours.

"Diver Ed" and his wife are amazing teachers. They make you feel as if they are taking you out on their maiden voyage. Their excitement and passion about what they do is undeniable. Our children learn something every time we go out on an excursion. (We have been 4 times now!) Not only is it tradition in our family to vacation in Bar Harbor every summer, it is tradition to go out with Diver Ed and see what animals we can learn about next! I highly recommend this trip to families with children ages 2 and up. Parents, you will have an unforgettable experience as well!

Who knew learning could be this fun?

We took our family out wih Diver Ed and Captin Evil and had a wonderful time learning about all the creatures (including Diver Ed) that inhabit our northern ocean. Diver Ed and Captin Evil provide a unique blend of teaching and comedy that will make your whole family laugh while learning something new. Be prepared to be interactive (very interactive, there is a time where the kids are encouraged to pick up and play with the sea creatures) and entertained. Even the squeamish come around to Diver Eds view of the undersea world and will hold a Sea Star or two. We would reccomend this trip to everyone.

Diver Ed is a riot!
Thu, Jul 31, 08   9:30 AM MalcolmBrand Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
My husband, myself and our four kids (ages 5, 7, 9, and 11) went on a morning cruise while vacationing in Bar Harbor. We thought the theater looked interesting and it gave us a chance to go into the harbor on a boat. I have to say, Diver Ed and his wife, Captain Evil, were a riot! Not only was the trip educational for everyone (Diver Ed is a graduate of the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor), they had the entire boat rolling with laughter throughout the cruise. Along with Mini Ed (a Playmobile diver), Diver Ed explored the ocean bottom looking for critters. Mini Ed put his life on the line several times to help capture crabs, lobsters and sea cucumbers. The action was captured on an underwater camera and viewed on a large screen on deck. Diver Ed eventually returned to the boat with a bag of interesting things he had found on the bottom. He then told everyone about the creatures and those who were brave had a chance to handle them. We all had a great time and the kids are still talking about Ed , mini Ed, the sea cucumbers and the rest of the crew. I would highly recommend this trip!
