Educational and extremely funny

| Diver Ed and his team provided us an extremely fun and educational program for our family, which included a six-year-old. Our boat attracted a lot of families with young children, but I think this tour of Maine aquatic life would appeal to people of any age who are kids-at-heart. It was a special day for us. L. | We are locals and had been interested in going on the boat with Ed for years and finally did last week. It was so much fun, great for both kids...Ed was silly and funny and non-intimidating enough for 4 year old, but wild and wacky so that my 8 year son thought he was really cool and was spouting sea creature facts all the next day. Now he wants to take diving lessons! Very unique way to get to know our island's unique ecosystem and learn a little about the sea and how many people make a living here in Maine. | ||||||

| This is a great activity for all ages. My 60 year old mother and I enjoyed it as much as my 9 year old daughter! It was fun and educational. Diver Ed does a geat job interacting with the children. My daughter loved hearing about the sea creatures then actually getting to touch them. We highly recommend the Dive In Theater and will definately do it again! | ||||||

| It was very entertaining for our three year old boy. He enjoyed the diver, the video, and especially the touch tank. As an adult, it was fine, but, the program is directed towards the kids. I was surprised to hear some adults on the trip complain that the boat was anchored for most of the trip (when the diver was collecting specimens and when the kids were playing with the animals). It seemed obvious to me that the boat would be anchored and it really wasn't bad at all. In summary, we'll be back next year-kids and adults to see Diver Ed and Captain Evil. | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his companions, Captain Evil and Mini-Ed (not to mention the dogs) provided one of the most enjoyable learning experiences my son and I have ever had. My son picked Diver Ed out of many choices and I was so glad he did. Diver Ed is GREAT with kids. The hands on part of the trip was fascinating to both kids and adults. If we ever go back to Bar Harbor, we will probably plan to go out with Diver Ed again. | ||||||

| Wow! That was just a fantastic trip. We loved every minute of it, kids and adults alike. Diver Ed is hilarious. He reminds me of John Belushi. I'm an educator, and I care so much about getting kids engaged in science and helping them to value the environment. What you are doing on these trips is phenomenal. The kids are learning by doing and laughing. My 6 yr old son remembered so many details as did my 4 year old niece. You guys are all terrific, and we can't wait to come back. Keep up the great work. | My husband, three children, and I love Diver Ed! This is a fantastic trip for kids of all ages (ours are 8, 6, and 4, but we have been taking them on the trip since they were one). At the same time, though, my husband and I would probably consider going on our own as well! The trip combines very accessible, warm humor with concrete and detailed information about ocean life in Maine. We learn new things every year. Diver Ed does a wonderful job keeping passengers engaged with his scuba journey, first through radio contact as he collects creatures and then through a very clear, compelling live video feed - we see what he sees. Then he brings a bag full of creature aboard and actively encourages and guides children and adults to handle and interact with crabs, lobsters, sea stars, sea urchins, hermit crabs, etc. The creatures we meet in the video come aboard - there is great continuity and meaning here for kids. This is the kind of trip that is good enough to go back again and again! | ||||||

| We loved this trip. Diver Ed was hilarious and about as young at heart as they come! But don't be mistaken he is an excellent educator and even as an adult I enjoyed his humor and the fun experience him and his wife create onboard. You will get hands-on experience with things like lobsters, sea stars, crabs, sea cucumbers, and anything else Diver Ed finds down below. The camera he used underwater was amazing and even as someone with Marine Science background I was amazed at the new things I saw and learned! Our whole family (mom, dad, 4 1/2 yr old boy and almost 2 yr old girl) highly reccommends this trip!!! | ||||||

| Dive-in Theater with Diver Ed was so much fun and a wonderful learning experience. We all got a chance to hold all the sea creatures caringly harvested by Diver Ed, and the comic relief provided by Ed was awesome - he should do video's or guest appearances on Letterman, etc. Edna - Ed's wife and body guard, narrated Ed's dive and clarified sometimes murky footage of the cold, dark Maine ocean waters. The close ups in High Def were incredible though and Mini-Ed's wrestling match with a lobster was so funny! The boat was roomy and the ride comfortable, and on the return trip to shore Ed circled around several times so everyone on board could see the dolphins that were trailing the boat. This was the second time we've experienced Diver Ed and we will surely be back again in the future - it is well worth the price! | ||||||

| Diver Ed is fantastic with the kids, and very entertaining with the adults too. The experience is very interactive, watching Diver Ed roam under water with his HD video camera on a big HD projection screen. He brings up a collection of animals, and the kids get to hold the animals and learn about them at the same time. Highly recommended for families and those curious what's under Frenchman's Bay!! | ||||||

| We have visted Bar Harbor three times and have always had fabulous trips. We heard from Kayak intstructor Jeff that you were the "funniest guy on the face of the earth" so we HAD to check out your tour. Well, he was absolutely correct! You are extremely funny and we also enjoyed Captain Evil and Deckhand Dick's interesting and funny and stories. The icing of the trip was getting to see the harbor seals and the two bald eagles (how lucky were we to get to see one eating his seagull lunch?!)! Fabulous trip, thank you for making this trip to the island a memorable one for sure! | ||||||

| Our trip with Diver Ed was phenomenal. Professional, funny, educational, and beautiful, this was a highlight of our trip. Our 2 and 5 year old boys loved the hands-on learning about the sea creatures and Diver Ed and Captain Evil kept my husband and I laughing throughout. Our children are still in awe that they got to see a sea cucumber poop! Highly recommended..... | ||||||
