| Our afternoon on Diver Ed's boat has become the highlight of our time in Bar Harbor. We saw birds, seals, porpoises, eagles, and lots of sea creatures. But the best part was Diver Ed, himself. He is a treat! | ||||||

| I took my 9 year old grandson and we were delighted!! He got lots of educational info from diver Ed on many subjects without realizing it. Diver Ed was funny and friendly and the kids and adults all enjoyed the experience, as well as touching and holding the sea creatures he brought back up to the deck. My favorite pictures are the starfish "christmas tree" on one of the childrens heads and the look on my grandsons face when he held a lobster for the first time. Thanks Diver Ed and Mrs Ed for a wonderful time and for making the experience so personal for my grandson. I would go again and suggest it for anyone who has children. | ||||||

| I can't say enough great things about Diver Ed and this cruise. My 3 year old granddaughter could not stop talking about Diver Ed, the sea animals and especially mini-ed. After getting off of the boat the first time she wanted to go back, so we did a few days later, after that trip she wanted to go the next day, unfortunately we could not or we would have. Diver Ed is so fantastic with the children no matter what age, and his and Captain Evil's (his wife) explaination of the creatures of the area were great. I think no matter how many times you might take this adventure, you will see something different and still be amazed and educated, even I at 54 learned new and exciting things. I urge anyone that is in the area with or without kids (especially with no matter what age) to take this adventure. A great thanks to Diver Ed, Captain Evil and their dogs for a great and educational time. Connie, Karen, Amy, Lois and Danica | ||||||

Ed's Dive-In Theater was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip

| From the moment we stepped on board, Ed and his wife made our family feel welcome. I don't know where he gets all of his energy from, but I want some! His warmth, sense of humor, and knowledge about sea life created an amazing, hands-on experience for our entire family. Our kids loved watching him explore the ocean 60 feet below us on the large screen. We loved that his wife explained everything we were seeing onscreen while Ed was exploring with the camera. His companion of Mini-Ed (a playmobil toy mini version of Ed) was hilarious, as Mini-Ed wrestled with lobsters and crabs on the ocean floor. After about 20 minutes underwater and on-screen, Diver Ed had collected numerous starfish, sea stars, crabs, lobsters, and mussels for the kids to touch and learn about back on the boat. My son Aidan still brags to his friends at school about kissing a crab! We were so impressed by their "Critter Cruise" (as my kids refer to it) and we are so grateful for the vivid memories and wonderful photos we now have to cherish. Many, many thanks for making our time in Bar Harbor so special. Even though we went initially for our twins, who are only four years old, I think people of all ages will love Ed's Dive-In Theater Cruise. Especially kids ages 13 and under. A++ in our books! We'll be sure to go again next time we're in Bar Harbor, as what Diver Ed encounters each time will be different! Bandte Family Wellesley, MA | ||||||

| The staff was wonderful, the trip was just the right length, and the sea life view with the HD camera was wonderful. Diver Dave was very knowledgeable and the Park ranger Angie was incredible! | We had a blast with Diver Ed. We first heard of Diver Ed from a friend and are very glad we did. We have a 2 year old and 4 year old, both of whom got a lot out of the trip. Diver Ed and his wife are relaxed, comical and professional. There was also a park ranger and boat captain on our trip. The park ranger added some great educational stories on the ride out to the dive site. The kids loved seeing Diver Ed get in his dive gear. I knew that we would be able to see with his under water camera, but it was a nice surprise to be able to hear what he had to say while he was under water too. Being able to handle the animals found by Diver Ed was great fun for all of us. I have never considered becoming a diver for fear of sharks, but this gave me a great appreciation for the excitement of discovering new things under the sea. It also gives you a great sense of responsibility for all of the fragile life under the sea. I highly recommend this outing for anyone. | ||||||

| The trip was terrific, the content awesome, and the staff and crew fantastic. Myself, my husband, our 7 yr old and 4 yr old all sat open mouthed in wonder as Diver Ed toured the bottom of the ocean with their camera. Meeting the animals up close was amazing and very amusing with Diver Ed's antics - we all learned something new. And the ranger from Acadia was especially knowledgeable on everything - the history, the animals, the area, the sea. I would definitely recommend this trip, however the cost was more than we would normally have spent on a trip of this sort, we even had to pay for our infant, but for us it was worth it. | ||||||

| The entire family (me and my husband and our 2 children, ages 3 and 4) enjoyed this excursion immensely. First, it's just nice to be out on the water, looking at the cenery. Second and more importantly, the trip was not only educational (my 3 year old keeps talking about sea cucumbers and how the "seastar" has 5 legs) but Diver Ed and his crew are very funny. It being the middle of Sept., there was only one other family with children on the boat; the rest of the passengers were adults of various ages and those adults seemed to get a kick out of the program as much as we did. Highly recommend it to everyone. | ||||||

| This was our family's first trip North from Maryland. We were with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren ages 9 and 6. Diver Ed and his "crew" were very educational and kept all of our attention throughout the trip. It was exciting to see seals, an eagle, and a lighthouse on the way to the diving area. Being able to watch Diver Ed suit up and his manner of interaction with all of us, especially the children, made us all anxious to see what he would be bringing up after his dive. As he walked around the bottom and we watched him put the sea creatures in his bag (having the screen to view on the ship was great), we couldn't wait to see them--Sea Cucumbers, star fish, sun fish of many colors, lobster, and many other living organisms. We highly recommend Diver Ed. He doesn't appear to advertise as much as the other sightseeing trips, but it is well worth the money. Friends recommended him to us before we left for Maine, and we were very grateful. | ||||||

| This was a wonderful experience! Diver Ed and Evil Edna were lovely people and provided fun and laughs along with a very knowledgeable commentary on the sea creatures that Ed found. The quality of the undersea images we saw was superb, thanks to the top-grade camera equipment on board. This is no ordinary boat trip - it's a definite must-do for families vacationing in or near Bar Harbor. | ||||||

| Our childrens' ages range from 5 - 18 and we all enjoyed the adventure. One of the teens said it was the best part of their week long adventure in Acadia. Diver Ed provided an entertaining education. A great note to end our vacation on. Thanks Diver Ed, Captain Evil and Halo (no not the game) and Levi. Well done! | ||||||

| Diver Ed, Mini-Ed, Captian Evil and the crew work hard to provide a great family experience. Special thanks to Halo and Levi for keeping us safe. Our three year old daughter had a blast. She and everyone aboard had ample opportunity to touch and hold a variety of bottom dwelling sea creatures from the bay. You will laugh and learn at the same time. | ||||||
