Creative and educational sea experience

| We have taken a number of sea excursions. Because this was a unique idea, it was especially enjoyable. The live underwater photos gave a sense of a realistic experience. I liked the opportunity to physically examine the specimens from the dive. Because the ship was small (about 32 passengers), the experience was a more personal one. The park ranger's on going lecture during the dive made it an educational experience. Diver Ed has a terrific personality to make it a fun outing. | ||||||

| We found the Dive-in Theater an experience we will remember. It was educational as well as a lot of fun. Diver Ed and Mini Ed put on a great show with the underwater camera as well as on board. I would love to come back and bring my grandchildren who were not with my daughter and I on this trip. Kids would love the experience of touching the marine life Diver Ed brought up from the deep. It was really facinating to see and touch live creatures that we had never seen other than in pictures. The Ranger also was fun. She made the education about the sea fun as well as interesting. We also enjoyed watching the dogs on board. The kids in the other families seemed to enjoy everything about the trip. We also were lucky to see a porpoise and several species of birds. I can't recommend this activity enough. Well worth the price. | ||||||

| We were camping in Acadia and went on a trip with Diver Ed and Captain Evil. The whole trip was perfect in every way. Diver Ed and Captain Evil and knowledgeable, energetic, and caring. They are skilled at handling children (and adults) with a gentle hand but keeping the right balance of chaos and order. The camera they use to show what is going on under th sea is spectacular. We loved every minute of the trip and plan to return next year and send as many people as we can on this wonderful adventure. | ||||||

| We made a reservation for Diver Ed primarily for our children. My wife and I enjoyed it, but it is definitely geared towards kids. Diver Ed is enthusiastic and entertaining, and made the kids laught a lot. Aside from being funny, it was definitely educational. All of us enjoyed watching the live video feed from underwater, and the kids really enjoyed holding the various sea creatures that Ed brought on the boat. Definitely a fun activity for families. | ||||||

| I have lived in Bar Harbor five years and just made it out with Diver Ed. From now on that trip will be on the agenda for all of my many summer guests! | ||||||

| The Dive In Theater was a great time. Our two kids (ages 7 and almost 5) said it was the highlight of the trip. Diver Ed really seems to enjoy his job and provided an educational and enthusiastic program. From the trip out to the dive area, to the dive and video show, to the "touch the sea creatures" portion, he and his crew (Captain Evil, Lady Libberty, Leviathan, and Halo) had the whole family entertained. The use of Mini-Ed #89 during the dive was very clever and funny. I would recommend the trip to anybody looking for a fun and informative vacation activity. | ||||||

| We really enjoyed the Diver Ed experience. It was not the greatest weather day, but we were so happy we decided to go forward with the trip. The ticket process with Zerve was great. Diver Ed and Captain Evil were fantastic. I think that the kids - we had 5 adults and 5 kids in our group - really enjoyed themselves. The concept of Ed diving with the digital camera and then bringing up stuff for the kids to touch and feel was unique. If there was one thing that I would comment on from a negative perspective it would be the dogs on the boat. One of my children is pretty petrified of dogs. While they were out of the way (up front) for some of the trip, things were fine. But, during the times they were out in the boat area, he was a nervous wreck. Newfoundlands are really big dogs and to my 7 year old, it was distracting. Not sure if it is practical to keep them stowed for a whole trip, but we could have done without the dogs. All in all, this was a great way to spend a couple of hours. Diver Ed was personable, funny and even educational! | ||||||

| Diver Ed, Captain Evil Edna, and Deckhand Dick provided a wonderfully fun, educational, and inspirational time on the boat. The wackiness is loved by the kids (and adults, too), but it's obvious that Diver Ed has a clear set of educational objectives and a plan to accomplish those objectives. I saw a lot, learned a lot, and came away impressed with the experience. What was most appreciated by me was that _every_ child's participation was important to Ed and his crew (in other words, the most reserved children received as much attention as the most boisterous). My kids are incredibly reserved, and typically during activities like this they are lost in the loud crowd. That was not the case with Diver Ed. . . he is a man on a mission and he's making sure everyone is on board with him. (and Captain Evil is just about the sweetest person we've ever met. . . she's awesome with the kids!) | ||||||

| Our three generation group all found this trip to be the highlight of our Bar Harbor vacation. Everyone got to participate in the hands on encounter with sea animals and all questions were answered patiently and in ways that we could understand. Watching the diver's finds on the big screen while he worked was amazing because we could see very small creatures greatly magnified. We recommend it most highly. | ||||||

| All of us loved it, from almost forty to only two! They did a great job making it a fun but educational experience! My five year old had his dream come true by being able to handle a live lobster! Wonderful time by all! | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his wife were excellent with all on board. Eleanor the park ranger was very patient in explaining. the underwater camera is a real plus in learning about the sea floor and the animals there. | ||||||

| We attended the trip with children; however, I would have enjoyed it just as much as a couple on a date. Diver Ed was very knowledgeable and personable. I was impressed when he greeted each guest by name and asked a few questions about them. His presentation of the animals was not only educational but spontaneous and entertaining. I would highly recommend this excursion for all ages. It was one of the highlights of our New England vacation. | ||||||

| Dive-In Theater was one of the most unique vacation experiences of my life. Diver Ed is obviously a really smart guy who loves what he does. The presentation was both highly educational and extemely entertaining for me and my kids. | ||||||

| Out of all the wonderful things Maine has to offer, this is a must do for the entire family. The majestic views from the boat, to the veiwing of under water life, to the opportunity to touch and feel the sea creatures, to mini Ed. The crew was awesome and ED was something else. I can honestly say he loves his job and ocean life. I am glad my daughter found you on the web. If and when we come back, we will be booking a trip on the Dive-in-Theater. Thanks a million. | ||||||
