| It was very entertaining for our three year old boy. He enjoyed the diver, the video, and especially the touch tank. As an adult, it was fine, but, the program is directed towards the kids. I was surprised to hear some adults on the trip complain that the boat was anchored for most of the trip (when the diver was collecting specimens and when the kids were playing with the animals). It seemed obvious to me that the boat would be anchored and it really wasn't bad at all. In summary, we'll be back next year-kids and adults to see Diver Ed and Captain Evil. | ||||||

| WE HAD SEEN THE SHOW LAST YEAR WITH OUR 9 YEAR OLD SON. WHEN WE MADE OUR TRIP THIS YEAR, THIS SHOW WAS ON THE TOP OF THE LIST TO DO AGAIN. I CAN'T COUNT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WE TOLD ABOUT THE SHOW, NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THE REAL JIST OF IT. WE TOTALLY ENJOYED IT AND WE ALL WILL LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR WHEN WE COULD SEE IT AGAIN. | My husband and I were hesitant to book this tour (8/27/08) thinking our kids (9 and 11) were maybe a bit too old. It was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go fishing. But 4 hours on a fishing boat was way too long and we all decided to try this instead. Both she and my son thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Ed and Edna and Dick were so great with the kids and I think the adults had as much fun as anyone. Mini Ed was our personal favorite! My kids enjoyed this trip WAY more that the whale watch trip. If you have young kids, this is the trip for you. p.s. Ed - Jennifer says thanks for making this the best thing about her 9th birthday! Maybe next time we'll get her to wear that sea star tower. | ||||||

| Diver Ed is an extremely personable, FUNNY, informative guide who makes the undersea world of Bar Harbor interesting to anyone with even the faintest interest in marine life. His unique style combines high-tech live underwater video transmission with a thorough knowledge of his subject, and terrific humor. Half the customers on our boat hardly understood English and definitely looked like they were having a great time. Our waitress at dinner told us about Diver Ed the night before, and we are so glad she did! | ||||||

| We ave taken several of the National Park Park Ranger boat cruises on past visits to such as the Baker Island cruise, this one with Diver Ed is the best for little kids. Diver Ed, his wife Captain Evil and the Park Ranger put on a fun and informative boat cruise. After finding a good place to anchor, Diver Ed puts on his diving suit and goes under water to find lobsters, crabs, star fish and sea cucumbers to bring back up to the boat. Also an under water camera in dropped to him so the we can see what he sees under water on a big projection screen on the boat. This boat cruise was a fun activity for everyone. Boat cruise was during last week of August 2008. | ||||||

| A truly unique experience whereby you can experience undersea life like you've never seen it before. Not only is it interesting, but Dived Ed is very entertaining in a goofy, John Belushi-like way. Don't miss this trip if you're in the area. | ||||||

| Loved every minute. There was plenty to see around us as we traveled to the dive spot. The camera work and hands-on look at sea creatures was interesting to us adults as well as the youngest children on the boat. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and held our interest. | ||||||

| The "Dive In Theater" experience was a huge hit with our family--which included a preschooler, parents, and grandparents. We went out our first day in Bar Harbor and we've talked about some aspect of the trip every day since. Diver Ed is phenomenal--adept at engaging both kids and adults with his enthusiasm and wit. Despite her nickname, Captain Evil was warm and informative--our daughter was convinced that she runs the show, because Diver Ed probably isn't too good at following directions. She and Deckhand Dick provided amusing color commentary while Diver Ed trawled the harbor's bottom or was otherwise occupied. Our daughter has sensory integration dysfunction and is often fearful of/repelled by novel sensory experiences (touch and sound, especially), so although she was looking forward to the "Dive In," we weren't sure how she would do. Diver Ed invites all the children to come close and actively participate in the animal presentation--but afterwards, he, DH Dick and CE circulate with the animals to all onboard to see in a very non-threatening way. Our daughter touched both the sea star and lobster during this portion of the program. Touching the animals was a big deal for her--and it has deepened her interest in the oceans and sealife. Aside from the opportunity to view firsthand the abundance of life in the harbor, it was amazing (as an adult) to learn about the technical challenges of this unique enterprise. I will recommend the "Dive In" experience to EVERY PERSON I KNOW headed for Mount Desert Island--and plan to return on future visits to the area. | ||||||

| This trip with Diver Ed and crew was GREAT. We had three generations on the trip and everyone had a ball. Diver Ed is exceptional with the kids (whether they are young or young of heart). I know it is something my grandkids will remember and talk about for years. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We would go again. My grandson has Aspergers (on the Autism Spectrum) and he felt a part of the trip and had a great time, his mother is a Speech Pathologist and she was very pleased with how DiverEd interacted with her son and all the kids onboard. | Our family had seen Diver Ed's advertisements on the MPBN annual auction but never really considered going on an excursion until several people in Bar Harbor recommended it. My wife, 3 year-old daughter and I decided to give it a try and had an EXCELLENT time! Diver Ed and Captain Evil were both very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. They (and their dogs) held the attention of both adults and children of all ages (I believe our daughter was the youngest on our trip). Two weeks later my daughter is still talking about Diver Ed, holding a sea star, and Daddy kissing a crab! Highly recommended as your family will go on a harbor cruise, learn about local wildlife and sea creatures, and get an adventure/comedy show all in one event. We'll definitely be back! | ||||||
