| My family and I had a great time with Diver Ed and Co. The owners are friendly and lively, and the information they gave us on the different forms of sea life we saw was just detailed enough so that we learned new things but weren't overwhelmed. The kids loved the please touch tanks, and my husband and I were impressed with the picture quality of the underwater camera. This was one of the most memorable highlights of our Acadia trip--we'll be back! | ||||||

| Driver Ed was funny, friendly, and very entertaining while sharing his knowledge and passion for sea critters. My husband and kids and myself all agree this was our favorite part of our entire trip to Maine! Thank you so much, Ed and Edna, for sharing your life's passion with us! What a fantastically fun time!!! | ||||||

| This was such an awesome experience for the whole family. The kids were entertained while being educated. (Mine are 4 and 7 years old.) Perfect mix! I think all of the older kids, teens and adults had a great time too. I sure did. I can't think of one thing to change about the entire experience. It was fabulous. I was very impressed when I thought about how the staff makes you feel special and attended to. They take the time to interact with everyone on board. This was pretty remarkable to me when I considered just how many trips they have to do that must be pretty much the same for them, but a unique experience for the patrons. It's obvious how much they care about educating about the oceanlife and habitat. It was a gas! Besides all of the hands on time with the specimens from below, we also saw porpoises jumping, a seal, and a huge Windjammer that came right along side of us. The natural beauty of the location goes without saying. Amazing views! I could have stayed out there on the boat even longer, but this was a perfect length of time for the kids. And, I'll never forget the drama of Mini Ed wrestling a live lobster underwater! I just might have to go again next summer! | ||||||

| When we found the website info we knew Diver Ed was the trip for us and our family. After actually experienceing Diver Ed this is a must see for anyone with kids who are into ocean aquariums and/or sea life. Ed is not what you might expect at first site, however he puts you to ease almost instantly with his humor. Its a cross between "revenge of the nerds", "animal house", "caddy shack" and the Discovery Channel. Be prepared to laugh, get slimed, learn about the sea, and enjoy a wonderful time on the ocean. We are already talking about doing it again on our next trip to Maine. So I recomend you come on board and get ready to experience your "three hour tour".... | ||||||

| If you have children and even if you don't this trip is WONDERFUL!!! The information and actions are presented by a wonderful staff and keep everyones attention. My daughter had a starfish (SEA STAR- as you will learn) tower of 10 on her head - what a great photo!!! I will be talking about this trip for years to come as will my kids. | ||||||

| As grandparents, visiting our children and grandchildren in Bar Harbor, we were delighted to participate in the Diver Ed experience. Diver Ed was funny, informative, and thoroughly entertaining. The use of the underwater camera and projection of both voice and picture was fantastic. His interaction with the small children made it a memorable field trip. | ||||||

| The Dive Inn Theater with Diver Ed was FANTASTIC! It was facinating to see all the sea creatures on the bottom of the ocean in their natural habitat. Then he brings them all up to get a closer look and feel with a brilliant naration of the creature in detail. Our entire family (kids, parents, and grandparents) plus our friends had the best time as it was fun, entertaining, and we learned so much from Diver Ed. This is definitely one of the top 3 things to do in Bar Harbor! Thanks ED and Crew! | ||||||

| My husband, three children, and I love Diver Ed! This is a fantastic trip for kids of all ages (ours are 8, 6, and 4, but we have been taking them on the trip since they were one). At the same time, though, my husband and I would probably consider going on our own as well! The trip combines very accessible, warm humor with concrete and detailed information about ocean life in Maine. We learn new things every year. Diver Ed does a wonderful job keeping passengers engaged with his scuba journey, first through radio contact as he collects creatures and then through a very clear, compelling live video feed - we see what he sees. Then he brings a bag full of creature aboard and actively encourages and guides children and adults to handle and interact with crabs, lobsters, sea stars, sea urchins, hermit crabs, etc. The creatures we meet in the video come aboard - there is great continuity and meaning here for kids. This is the kind of trip that is good enough to go back again and again! | ||||||

| Diver Ed and the staff including mini - ed provide a wonderful adventure of the ocean floor. Ed's enthusiasm and love for his trade provide a great educational and entertaining excursion. I would highly recommend this to anyone especially with children. From my daughters, thank you Diver Ed, Captain Evil, Lady Libberty & most of all Mini Ed for a great time. Hope to be back soon. | Diver Ed is our kid's favorite part of our trips to Bar Harbor. We have been on Diver Ed's cruise 3 times so far and will always make sure to see him when we are in town. He has a wonderful way with children and his energy is infectious! Everyone on his cruises learns so many fun facts about the sea creatures. When people ask us what we did on our trip to Bar Harbor, my kids always recount their Diver Ed cruise details first and foremost as the most fun thing that they did. My 14 year old daughter who won't do anything in front of anyone that might embarrass herself, has so much fun on this cruise and even kissed a crab on the "lips." My 10 year old son's smile never leaves his face while he is on board. Diver Ed's sidekick (his wife), Captain Evil, is wonderful too and has such great, funny stories about Diver Ed and the various mini Ed's over the years. We encourage anyone with kids or without to attend Diver Ed's Dive In Theater. It has always been a highlight of our visit to the area and is well worth the $. It is an experience unlike anything you have ever had! | ||||||

| My 6 1/2 year daughter loved the entire time - from the minute we walked down to the boat until we got off it!! Diver Ed explained everything very clearly and was able to make the whole ride enjoyable. My daughter didn't say once she was bored. He was WOOHOO funny. | ||||||
