An unusual educational fun time for any age

| Super hero Diver Ed and his side kick Captain Evil provide an entertaining 2 hour ride combo dive in beautiful Bar Harbor Maine. The dynamic duo take you out to discover the area around Bar Harbor describing the various sea life you will encounter. Then the real fun starts once they drop anchor. Diver Ed dives down and video tapes the bottom of the bay describing what he sees while you watch it all happen live and dry on deck with Captain Evil's comments filling in the blanks. He then returns to the boat with bags of the various fauna found, puts them in tubs, talks about them then lets you and the kids handle them! How much better can it get? Diver Ed is careful to explain what dangers might be associated with the animals he's brought on deck but you see with what care he gives to each and every creature. After every one gets their fill Diver Ed then lets them all go back into the bay. I've done this trip 3 times and each time it has been different and no less entertaining. I highly recommend this outing to all! | ||||||

| Diver Ed and Evil Edna delivered with a highly entertaining show for both kids and adults. We learned a lot of fun facts about the sea creatures Diver Ed brought up. Watch out for spitting scallops! | ||||||

| To paraphrase the bandit in "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre," "we don't need no stinkin' children" to have a ball at Diver Ed's Dive-In Theater. Ed is a perfect blend of John Belushi and Jacques Cousteau (with a dash of Soupy Sales) and entertains and educates 10 years olds and AARP veterans in equal measure. It's easy to underestimate the importance of this kind of joyous instruction, but someday, somewhere, some kid who's been on Starfish Enterprise will find that he has a personal interest in acting on some information about a danger to sea life because of the fun that he had that morning in Frenchman's Bay. And the world will be a little better place. Diver Ed's interaction with the kids on his boat is at a perfect pitch. It's loud, sometimes scary ("Here, kiss this sea cucumber!"), it's funny, and it's always full of the love he has for what he's doing. If you're within a hundred miles of Bar Harbor, if you have children, grandchildren, or no children, treat yourself to a couple of hours at Diver Ed's Dive-in Theater. | ||||||

| We had looked up Diver Ed on the internet many sleeps ago ,and Ed and Edna(Captain Evil)exceeded our and our boys expectations!!The whole tour was a riot right from when we got onto the boat till we bumped back into the dock. I really like the feeling that we were with friends out for an afternoon tour and we weren't on a tight schedule.The boys(11 & 6)will be talking about this one for along time!!The boys loved sharing their experience with Levi and Halo!! | We made a reservation for Diver Ed primarily for our children. My wife and I enjoyed it, but it is definitely geared towards kids. Diver Ed is enthusiastic and entertaining, and made the kids laught a lot. Aside from being funny, it was definitely educational. All of us enjoyed watching the live video feed from underwater, and the kids really enjoyed holding the various sea creatures that Ed brought on the boat. Definitely a fun activity for families. | ||||||

| we saw an eagle ,seals, and harbor porpoise before we even got to the dive location. the dive was the best live look at the ocean bottom that i ever had. Diver ed showed us all the critters on the bottom and then brought them up to the boat so we could handle them, and the ranger from acadia park explained each one. I will go back on this trip when i get to acadia again | ||||||

| Diver Ed provides a hilarious, educational and beautiful trip that gets everyone involved and informed about all the sea creatures living in the waters around Bar Harbor. I would highly recommend this trip for families or groups with children. | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his wife, Captain Evil, educated us and kept us entertained during the entire boating and diving excursion. My three kids, ages 7,8, and 9, have all cited Diver Ed as the best part of our week-long vacation in Maine. They especially liked mini-Diver Ed, who is just barely shorter than the real Diver Ed. At least that is true according to Captain Evil. Overall, undertaking this adventure is highly recommended. | ||||||

| This cruise has been a highlight of our vacation for 3 years. And we were not the only family on the cruise who makes it a tradition. This is educational & entertaining for the whole family. My 3-year old loved learning about the sea creatures. My 1-year old even ejoyed feeling/ tasting the sea cucumbers. The new boat is nice & spacious. Don't forget about the other wildlife you may see on the boat: seals and bald eagles Another good note: rescheduling on short notice due to weather was hassle-free | ||||||

| the kids 5 & 7 really enjoyed the activity - the technology really enables interaction between us on the boat and the diver - and it was great to see the animals both in the their natural environment and later on the boat. everyone learned something. | ||||||

| We took our 2 grandchildren (ages 4 and 7), our daughter, and son in law as our guests from Chicago on the Diver Ed cruise. Ed Monat ,aka Diver Ed, is a gifted showman, as well as an experienced diver, so the combination made for an entertaining as well as an educational outing all could enjoy. We were at sea for about 2 1/2 hours, so we felt we were definitely. getting our money's worth. Lots of fun! | ||||||
