Diver Ed

Diver Ed was both entertaining and educational. My daughter loved boat ride. Us adults also enjoyed it. Diver Ed made us laugh and taught us a lot about the creatures that live at the bottom of the ocean. A great time for families.

Best thing our family did in Bar Harbor!

We had the best time with Diver Ed and his crew. They are amazing people. Everyone in my family, children and adults alike, were engaged every second. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot too. It is worth every penny!

Diver Ed and Captain Evil again entertained us with a humorous exploration of underwater sea life in Frenchman Bay using "Mini Ed" as bait for the lobsters and crabs. Bar Harbor and Acadia are fun for the family but this cruise is definitely geared towards making the kids laugh and having them learn a little something about what lies beneath the water's surface. If you have children this boat trip will be the highlight of their visit to MDI.

This was a very enjoyable experience. Fun for all ages in our group (8 to 75 years). We liked the humor and educational aspects, and being able to see and hold the different creatures was very memorable. Highly recommended!

I took this cruise with two of my children, ages 12 and 6 and I'm not sure which of us enjoyed it the most. It was funny, educational and memorable. Where else could my kids have held sea stars,sun stars, a sea cucumber, a lobster and a sea urchin? We also saw seals and bald eagles. Weeks after returning home, my youngest is still grossing out her friends and grandparents as she explains how sea cucumbers escape their predators by expelling their internal organs and running the other way! A great experience for all ages - highly recommended!

My family (children 13, 11, 5) has gone twice in the last 2 years. This is really a great activity, and every age group (adults included) will have fun. Ed and "Captain Evil" are really wonderful, engaging, fun, and absolutely funny. We have done both the morning and evening trips, nothing agianst morning but evening was absolutely super. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Diver Ed was a totally amazing experience. We were a group of 9 people ages 3 to 72 and everyone had a great laugh and learned a ton! Diver Ed has an amazing sense of humor as he takes you on a tour of the Maine sea bottom with his Discovery Network quality camera. Best yet, he goes "shopping" at the bottom of the sea and brings up many different creatures for everyone to touch and explore (sea cucumbers, crabs, scallops, lobsters, etc.). If you're in Maine for even a day, it is an experience not to be missed!

I had done this tour about 10 years ago and thought it was very good. I was back visiting Bar Harbor with my 9 year old niece and 8 year old nephew. We decided to go on the Diver Ed boat. No one was disappointed. Diver Ed keeps the kids very entertained and very involved. I think everybody learned something new that day (for example a starfish is not a fish, but a sea star). Diver Ed, Captain Evil, his crew and the three dogs were very nice and I highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Just a very fun and informative time for kids and adults alike. Just do it !!

My kids were amongst the oldest on the boat (10 and 12 year old girls). I was concerned at first that it might be too babyish for them seeing the ages of some of the other kids on board. But when Ed was diving down and you could see everything so vividly they became entranced. Then getting a hands on experience with all the sea creatures was a great thrill. My youngest won't stop talking about how awesome it was when Ed had her kiss a sea cucumber on the mouth ;-) Ed and crew were first rate. They made it fun and informative. This was a true highlight of our time in Acadia!!!

My.son.came.home,.pulled.out.his.Playmobile.diver,.and.signed.his.butt...Then.he.went.in.the.tub.with.some.toy.animals.and.reported.back.what.he.found...I.call.that.a.huge.endorsement!

Don't miss this one! My group included my husband and adult son and we had a blast! The crew couldn't have been nicer. It was so fascinating to view on the big screen Diver Ed along with Mini Ed go down to the bottom of the sea and look for creatures. He brought many different creatures up that we got to hold. We laughed so hard when Diver Ed and Mini Ed where exploring the sea floor. Any age will enjoy this experience. If we make it up that way again we will be sure to do this again!

The whole experience was wondeful! The kids enjoyed watching Diver Ed underwater and especially enjoyed touching and holding the underwater life he brought up.

Diver Ed is a hit and so is his wife, Captain Evil. The ranger Lisa was very informative and helpful. We had great fun touching all the marine animals!
