Diver Ed

Diver Ed and his Crew provided an awesome trip! It was definitely worth the time and ticket! Even our friend who didn't seem to get excited about anything RAVED about it! Diver Ed is very personable and makes the tour interactive for everyone. Our daughters touched all the creatures and joked around with Diver Ed. The commentary was family friendly, but included clean reference to adult humor. Our tour lucked into a find of a 30+ inch lobster which required additional time and attention---it was very exciting for everyone! Overall the tour was very professional yet relaxed, educational and full of laughs! Don't miss this trip!

Dive-in Theater with Diver Ed was so much fun and a wonderful learning experience. We all got a chance to hold all the sea creatures caringly harvested by Diver Ed, and the comic relief provided by Ed was awesome - he should do video's or guest appearances on Letterman, etc. Edna - Ed's wife and body guard, narrated Ed's dive and clarified sometimes murky footage of the cold, dark Maine ocean waters. The close ups in High Def were incredible though and Mini-Ed's wrestling match with a lobster was so funny! The boat was roomy and the ride comfortable, and on the return trip to shore Ed circled around several times so everyone on board could see the dolphins that were trailing the boat. This was the second time we've experienced Diver Ed and we will surely be back again in the future - it is well worth the price!

I have 8 year old triplet boys and this is out 5th time that we take part in this adventure! Each time we learn something new. The boys find the hands on aspect with the marine animals the best part and a fun learning experience. Diver Ed is fun, entertaining, personal and genuine. We highly recommend it. If we come to Bar Harbor next year we will be going on this cruise again.

We go to Diver Ed every year, and it never gets tiring. The kids love seeing all the sea creatures, and Diver Ed never ceases to entertain! Have a great time!

Diver Ed is fantastic with the kids, and very entertaining with the adults too. The experience is very interactive, watching Diver Ed roam under water with his HD video camera on a big HD projection screen. He brings up a collection of animals, and the kids get to hold the animals and learn about them at the same time. Highly recommended for families and those curious what's under Frenchman's Bay!!

Great time.

Hours of complete fun, seeing sights from underwater we'd never otherwise get to see. Children and adults enjoyed every minute. Video full of smiling faces. Diver Ed and Captain Evil are amazing.... so is their equipment, the underwater life, and the way it is all presented. Perfect afternoon.

We have visted Bar Harbor three times and have always had fabulous trips. We heard from Kayak intstructor Jeff that you were the "funniest guy on the face of the earth" so we HAD to check out your tour. Well, he was absolutely correct! You are extremely funny and we also enjoyed Captain Evil and Deckhand Dick's interesting and funny and stories. The icing of the trip was getting to see the harbor seals and the two bald eagles (how lucky were we to get to see one eating his seagull lunch?!)! Fabulous trip, thank you for making this trip to the island a memorable one for sure!

This was the second time we've gone out with Diver Ed. This is great fun for everyone, and provides a unique opportunity to get "up close and personal" with the sea life that most people do not easily get. We have recommended this activity to others who have gone to Acadia National park and all have loved this event.

We love Diver Ed, mini Ed and his dogs!! Diver Ed is so funny and great with kids! Lots of laughs and very interesting. This is such an engaging trip out in Frenchmen's Bay. We highly recommend it to families or people of all ages!

If you have kids (mine were 9 and 11) you have to do this in Bar Harbor! Well worth the money! Diver Ed and Co. are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and funny! You'll never do anything else like it!

We were a group of six - ages ranged from 5 to 66. We all had a terrific time and learned a lot about the sea creatures in Frenchman's Bay. The kids (ages 5 & 7) were totally into kissing crabs, holding sea stars, making sure they were looking at the right (not poopy) end of the sea cucumber, and touching and holding all of the other creatures Diver Ed brought on board. Diver Ed engaged every kid on the boat with touching and holding the creatures, and he made a point of talking to every adult on-board. I can't recommend this activity highly enough. It's a really fun family outing with something for everyone.

Our trip with Diver Ed was phenomenal. Professional, funny, educational, and beautiful, this was a highlight of our trip. Our 2 and 5 year old boys loved the hands-on learning about the sea creatures and Diver Ed and Captain Evil kept my husband and I laughing throughout. Our children are still in awe that they got to see a sea cucumber poop! Highly recommended.....

ANYONE GOING TO BAR HARBOR SHOULD GO ON THIS BOAT. DIVER ED, HIS WIFE (AND THE DOGS) ARE SO MUCH FUN. THE KIDS ON THE BOAT WERE HAVING A GREAT TIME AND ALSO LEARNING ALL ABOUT THE SEA CREATURES DIVER ED (AND LIL ED) BROUGHT UP THE THE DEEP.

Diver Ed was extremely engaging - you can tell he loves what he does. He's great with the kids - really silly and fun. My son is 4 years old and on the autism spectrum. Although he was distracted during the boat ride, he loved getting to touch all the sea life and when we ask him what he liked about Maine he says "the crabs, the lobsters and the cocoon" (meaning the sea cucumber). I would definitely recommend.
