We all loved it!
Sun, Aug 9  1:30 PM GALECADDOO Female 60-69 Local Family With Children
Mixed group of mostly family and a few friends. Children were 3 to 7 years old. Some were from away. We had a great time, young and old. Funny and fast paced so the children didn't get bored. We will probably do it again.

Humorous and Educational sea adventure
Sat, Aug 8  1:30 PM rolandmagnan Male 60-69 Local Family With Children
Our Diver Ed excursion was educational and entertaining. Using state of the art technologies and comical props such as "little ED" , a miniature diver facing the dangers of the ocean bottom, we got to see close up what few get to see at the bottom of Maine's very cold ocean. Traveling with Diver Ed was a little like traveling with John Belushi, nevertheless it was a very unique way to spend an enjoyable afternoon. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, especially if you have children or grandchildren like we did. Thanks for a great afternoon. Peace, Roland, Veronica and family.

Excellent experience; both fun and educational

Will try again with a Park Naturalist on board for a more adult focus instead of a strongly child-centered approach. Still, a great show! If Diver Ed would speak a bit more softly into his underwater microphone he could be better understood. A definite "DO" for anyone unfamiliar with marine biology and for families with young children.

It was O.K.

It was good but not great. Diver Ed was a bit over zealous for our 7 year old.

Wonderful fun and educational afternoon

My daughter and family including three kids currently 6,9, and 11 visit me at my camp for two weeks every summer, and every summer we do two or three special things to have fun. I think this beats them all. Diver Ed and his wife are wonderful. It was fun for us all. Bring warm outerwear, water repellant if possible, I highly recommend this activity!

This was a fun 3 hours. Diver Ed and crew were very informative. The Ranger assigned was well qualified to inform us of what we were viewing. Hands on experience of sea creatures. I never thought that I would actually hold a sea cucumber. Our group certainly enjoyed this 3 hour tour.

It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Our group included three children who were kept interested by Diver Ed and Ranger Emily. We were lucky to see seals, Bald Eagles and lots of creatures who live under the sea. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Diver Ed and Captain Evil provide an entertaining as well as educational view of the sea life found on the bottom of Frenchman's Bay. It's a fun trip for both children and adults. We've taken the trip twice and can't wait to do it again.

Entertaining, Enlightening and Accurate
Thu, Jul 23  1:30 PM powersbill Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
My wife, my granddaughter and I all enjoyed the ranger led cruise tremendously. Having done graduate work in Marine Biology and Oceanology I guess I was not expecting to see a program that was so authentic and accurate. I figured it would focus on the entertaining more than these things, It was interesting, enlightening and accurate as well as very entertaining. Diver Ed and Captain Evil are excellent presenters. The ranger was also very well prepared. We were in Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park for four weeks and saw and participated in many womderful things and the Diver Ed cruise was one of the most outstanding highlights. So thanks for a wonderful adventure! Bill Powers, Storrs, CT.

Our afternoon on Diver Ed's boat has become the highlight of our time in Bar Harbor. We saw birds, seals, porpoises, eagles, and lots of sea creatures. But the best part was Diver Ed, himself. He is a treat!

Absolutely wonderful for children and adults
Tue, Jul 14  9:30 AM madrell1 Female 60-69 Local Family With Children
I took my 9 year old grandson and we were delighted!! He got lots of educational info from diver Ed on many subjects without realizing it. Diver Ed was funny and friendly and the kids and adults all enjoyed the experience, as well as touching and holding the sea creatures he brought back up to the deck. My favorite pictures are the starfish "christmas tree" on one of the childrens heads and the look on my grandsons face when he held a lobster for the first time. Thanks Diver Ed and Mrs Ed for a wonderful time and for making the experience so personal for my grandson. I would go again and suggest it for anyone who has children.

My husband and I took our grandsons (ages 6 and 12 years) on a vacation to Maine. One of the highlights was Captain Evil, Diver Ed, Mini Ed and Kevster on their new boat the Starfish. Being snorkelers and divers ourselves, it was wonderful for our grandsons to share our joy of the bounty ounder the sea. Awe and joy abounded. Thanks for a memory making excursion.!!!

Great Experience, the Highlight of our trip!
Thu, Sep 25, 08   1:30 PM JUDYJEAN Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We found the Dive-in Theater an experience we will remember. It was educational as well as a lot of fun. Diver Ed and Mini Ed put on a great show with the underwater camera as well as on board. I would love to come back and bring my grandchildren who were not with my daughter and I on this trip. Kids would love the experience of touching the marine life Diver Ed brought up from the deep. It was really facinating to see and touch live creatures that we had never seen other than in pictures. The Ranger also was fun. She made the education about the sea fun as well as interesting. We also enjoyed watching the dogs on board. The kids in the other families seemed to enjoy everything about the trip. We also were lucky to see a porpoise and several species of birds. I can't recommend this activity enough. Well worth the price.

Great activity for any age--young or old!
Thu, Sep 25, 08   1:30 PM JudyWilliams Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Well organized and well done activity by people who share their enthusiasm for what they are doing. We enjoyed the diversity of first cruising the water looking for wildlife that included birds and porpoises and then watching Diver Ed search for life on the bottom of the ocean. It was great first seeing the animals on the screen through the eyes of the diver's camera as he told us about the animal with his diver's microphone, and then watching as he put the animals into his bag to later bring onto the boat. We then had the excitement of getting to see, touch, hold, and take pictures of the animals--starfish, sand dollars, sea cucumbers, lobsters, crabs, etc.--after the diver returned to his boat with the bag. We have taken a lot of tours in the U.S. and Canada in the past few years and would rate this one in the "top five" of all our tours.
