What a great trip!

| I took my 4 yr old and 7 yr old daughters on the Starfish Enterprise for what turned out to be an entertaining and hilarious trip, full of information and hands-on fun! Diver Ed was great about meeting everyone onboard and really engaging the kids in learning about Maine's sea creatures. Being able to watch the bottom of Frenchman's bay on the screen, live was really amazing. I've lived here for 10 years and I never knew how much sea life was just off the shore of the island! The girls really enjoyed getting up close and personal with sea stars, lobsters, crabs and sea cucumbers- made for fabulous photo ops! I would recommend this for the young and the young at heart! | ||||||

| I took my 9 year old grandson and we were delighted!! He got lots of educational info from diver Ed on many subjects without realizing it. Diver Ed was funny and friendly and the kids and adults all enjoyed the experience, as well as touching and holding the sea creatures he brought back up to the deck. My favorite pictures are the starfish "christmas tree" on one of the childrens heads and the look on my grandsons face when he held a lobster for the first time. Thanks Diver Ed and Mrs Ed for a wonderful time and for making the experience so personal for my grandson. I would go again and suggest it for anyone who has children. | ||||||

| I have lived in Bar Harbor for awhile, but only when some family came to visit did I go on this trip. It was amazing. I would recommend to anyone, but if you have kids, especially in the 4 - 12 age range, they shouldn't miss it. As a teacher, I was amazed and how much everyone laughed, while at the same time a very wild character gave them real marine biology and local content. My sister-in-law almost passed out, she was laughing so much. The underwater pictures were amazing, the narrative great, and the trip went by without a hitch. However, remember that it is Maine and with any breeze it can get cool, so really dress warmly, you can always take off layers. Having a love for dogs is helpful (2 big newfies slowly roam around the boat collecting head rubs for much of the ride). We were out for a bit longer than the scheduled two hours, so I wouldn't make any immediate reservations for after the trip, perhaps stop by the College of the Atlantic natural history museum on the way out, or if you are early. | ||||||

| We were camping in Acadia and went on a trip with Diver Ed and Captain Evil. The whole trip was perfect in every way. Diver Ed and Captain Evil and knowledgeable, energetic, and caring. They are skilled at handling children (and adults) with a gentle hand but keeping the right balance of chaos and order. The camera they use to show what is going on under th sea is spectacular. We loved every minute of the trip and plan to return next year and send as many people as we can on this wonderful adventure. | ||||||

| My 5 and 7 year old grandchildren were visiting me in Bar Harbor this summer and I booked us "passage" on Diver Ed's boat - they LOVED it and are still talking about it weeks later. Not only was it an adventure, but they learned about the sea life Diver Ed hauled aboard for them to touch and kiss. They can't wait to visit me and Diver Ed again next summer! | ||||||

| I have always lived on MDI and thought I knew a lot about the ocean etc., but Diver Ed and crew taught me a thing or two. My grandson who spends his time on the fresh water was visiting so this trip was for him, but I had as much fun as he did. Thank you Diver Ed and Mrs Diver Ed. | ||||||

| WOW!! Where do I begin. My grandparents sent me an article about the Dive In Theatre and we had to try it. We took our 12 year old boy and 3 year old daughter and with such a wide range in ages its hard to do something as a family. We all laughed and enjoyed ourselves so much we can't wait to go again. Lucky for us it is only an hour away. We plan on taking the rest of my family to do this wonderful experience. The children are learnign so much and they don't even realize it. This would be a wonderful school field trip as well. My 3 year old daughter pretends to be Diver Ed now at our house (instead of princess' at dress up time). We all have to see the wonderful treats she gets from the bottom of the ocean(or should I say bottom of the carpet). I can't say enough we have told sooooo many people about this wonderful experienceand to think it was in my own back yard. If you choose only 1 family activity to do (with or without children) you won't regret this one. My 12 year old laughed and joined in and my 3 year old got to help push Diver Ed into the water and thought that was so much fun! Don't miss this one!! | ||||||

| This is our second time doing the Dive-In Theater. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My two daughters (3&5) loved it last year and even more so this year. We brough our 10 year old nephew and he was blown away. Great time!!! | ||||||

| This was a funfilled, at times humorous, hands-on learning experience for both children and adults. I highly recommend it. The crew and park ranger gave a genuine and enthusiastic presentation. A great way for both children and adults to be exposed to the coastal environment and wildlife of the area, both above and below sea level. | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his crew were excellent. Our kids could not stop talking about the sea creatures they saw and the way Diver Ed presented them. The whole crew made you feel involved in the whole presentation and made sure that everyone could get a turn holding or seeing everything. The underwater camera gave the kids great insight to what the environment under the sea was like and how many of the creatures that they saw on board lived in the the wild. | ||||||
