Diver Ed

We really had a good time. We were worried it might be too 'kid-oriented' but it was very interesting and entertaining for kids and adults. We enjoyed being able to scuba dive through Diver Ed, with such clear pictures of all the treasures he found below....and then he brought lots of samples up to the boat so we were all given the opportunity to touch/feel each of the sea life and given knowledgeable information on each.

The right blend of humor and information that made for an enjoyable day out at sea!

Every thing about the trip was excellent- our kids aged 9 thru 12 loved every minute and so did we. Diver Ed and his trusty Capt make learning so much fun for everyone.

Our family of 5 had a great time with Diver Ed and the Evil Edna. He was fun, enthusiastic, and educational. My kids ages, 19,18, and 11 really enjoyed the trip. The 11 year old enjoyed it the most, but the 19 and 18 year olds managed to crack a smile or two. Diver Ed is super hands on with the kids and tries very hard to make sure everyone has fun and gets a chance to touch and learn about the sea creatures he clearly loves.

Our whole family, which included 2 adults, 4 senior citizens, and 2 children, completely enjoyed Diver Ed. It was entertaining and educational. We appreciated Diver Ed and "Captain Evil's" generosity and knowledge. We would highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Diver Ed was one of the most amazing, joyful, educational experiences that my children, husband and I have ever had. As an educator, and a personal business owner - it is VERY obvious that these individuals do this because they love it and because they enjoy educating a VARIETY of individuals in ways that fit EVERYONE in an amazingly entertaining manner. There aren't enough words of praise for this program.

It was a dreary morning weather-wise, but we had a wonderful time and would definitely do it again when back in the area. My husband, 3-year old, and I were all entertained and learned a lot. It was a terrific, fun introduction to sea life for our toddler. Everyone else on the boat (all ages and MANY repeat customers) seemed to enjoy it, too. The entire crew is fantastic-- humans and canines. Diver Ed, Captain Evil, and the rest of the crew are really fabulous-- enthusiastic, warm, and clearly love the sea and what they do.

This is one of the best tours we have done. Our group ranged from age 6-71 and everyone enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this tour--especially for families traveling with children. Diver Ed, Capt. Evil and crew were all professional, funny, informative and welcoming.

Our trip with Diver Ed and Captain Evil (and Mini Ed 131 of course!) was without question, the highlight of our vacation on Acadia! Our kids, age 7 1/2, 6, and 1 year all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was the first thing they told their grandparents and friends about when we got home. Diver Ed and Captain Evil provided a perfect combination of silliness, education, and best of all, an opportunity to see and touch a vast array of sea creatures. Our boys will never ever forget that Sea Cucumbers breath out their butts! As a parent, I loved the fact that it was a small group on the boat and Diver Ed made sure that every individual had the best experience possible. When we return to the island next summer we will definitely be visiting Diver Ed again! It was worth every penny and then some!

We've done Disney and other top-rated experiences and this was wonderful. It hits all the high spots of education, fun, thrills and adventure. Really quality job and great fun for kids and adults alike.

We took the Diver Ed Tour with lots of kids. We enjoyed watching them enjoy the trip! What a great educational and fun experience for all ages.

This was so much fun! Diver Ed makes sure everyone is included and he is so funny! The kids loved touching the sea creatures and watching Ed dive. He also has two cute big dogs that go on the boat. One of the best things we did on vacation.

My group very much enjoyed this - Diver Ed and Captain Evil were charismatic and funny as well as being knowledgeable, and the ranger was wonderful. I would highly recommend this trip to all.

A guide on a sea kayak tour we took recomended this activity and my younger son, who is 10 thought it sounded interesting. I was on the fence, as was my 12-year-old, as we've all visited aquariums and seen sealife up close. Even my younger son had second thoughts when we arrived and saw that the average age of the other children present was about 5. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the tour. Diver Ed was funny and silly, and his wife (Captain Evil) was knowledgeable and also amusing. Mini Ed was a great tool to help understand what we were seeing and the view of the bottom was really cool. We would definitely recommend to other families, even those with slightly older kids.
