Creative and educational sea experience

| We have taken a number of sea excursions. Because this was a unique idea, it was especially enjoyable. The live underwater photos gave a sense of a realistic experience. I liked the opportunity to physically examine the specimens from the dive. Because the ship was small (about 32 passengers), the experience was a more personal one. The park ranger's on going lecture during the dive made it an educational experience. Diver Ed has a terrific personality to make it a fun outing. | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his wife were excellent with all on board. Eleanor the park ranger was very patient in explaining. the underwater camera is a real plus in learning about the sea floor and the animals there. | ||||||

A fantastic experience

| This was our family's first trip North from Maryland. We were with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren ages 9 and 6. Diver Ed and his "crew" were very educational and kept all of our attention throughout the trip. It was exciting to see seals, an eagle, and a lighthouse on the way to the diving area. Being able to watch Diver Ed suit up and his manner of interaction with all of us, especially the children, made us all anxious to see what he would be bringing up after his dive. As he walked around the bottom and we watched him put the sea creatures in his bag (having the screen to view on the ship was great), we couldn't wait to see them--Sea Cucumbers, star fish, sun fish of many colors, lobster, and many other living organisms. We highly recommend Diver Ed. He doesn't appear to advertise as much as the other sightseeing trips, but it is well worth the money. Friends recommended him to us before we left for Maine, and we were very grateful. | ||||||

| Very entertaining - with a great sense of humor; Ed was very knowledgable yet presented his information in such a kid-friendly, humorous way! The kids just loved it (ages 4 and 6) and played for a long time with the sea animals. They were so excited and talked about it a lot. The video underwater was wonderful - I have never seen some of these animals. Great camera! | ||||||

| I have always lived on MDI and thought I knew a lot about the ocean etc., but Diver Ed and crew taught me a thing or two. My grandson who spends his time on the fresh water was visiting so this trip was for him, but I had as much fun as he did. Thank you Diver Ed and Mrs Diver Ed. | ||||||

| We were welcomed aboard by Diver Ed, Captain Evil (his wife), Deckhand Dick and the 2 Newfoundland dogs. Diver Ed was extremely good with the children, teaching them about the ocean and the creatures he found in a fun and creative way. On our trip we watched him collect a lobster, shrimp, sand dollars, star fish, sea urchins, crabs and sea cucumbers which he brought into the boat. If you are looking for an amazing and interesting experience, take the family on a trip with Diver Ed. | ||||||

| What a great idea! We took our 5 year old grandson and we had as much fun as he did. Diver Ed was so great. The whole trip was well organized, presented with great enthusiasm, entertaining, educational and just plain fun. I would highly recommend this excursion to people of all ages. We definitely will participate next summer with our granddaughter too. By the way, why don't you make a copy and sell the little divers that are part of the program -- I think the kids would love to have this as a souvenier of their experience. | ||||||

| Ed is very entertaining and personable as well as educational. He interacted with the children and kept their attention for the entire event. I highly recommend this outing to families with children. My three grandchildren ages 3, 5, and 8 are still talking about it. | ||||||

| My husband and I took this trip with our two grandchildren ages 4 and 6. We all loved the trip. Diver Ed and Mini Ed 91 were great with their underwater exploration and Deckhand Dick and Captain Evil were wonderful manning the boat. A fun learning experience for everyone. | ||||||

| Oustanding, fast-paced, one-of-a-kind adventure. The 7 and 11-year olds were engaged every minute. Lots of silly fun, mixed with incredible ocean-bottom sights, hands-on with sea creatures, and educational information. What a great time -- and a uniquely Maine experience. | ||||||

| This is on the top of my grandchildrens list of things to do when they come to visit for there 2 weeks in the summer, this is the 3 rd year. There ages are 6 and 8 ... it is never the same from year to year and Diver Ed makes it so interesting ., I am sure they will out grow it sometime but for now it is staying on the top of there list.... | ||||||

| As a family with grown children we enjoyed the trip just as much as those with smaller children. It was very impressive to see how Diver Ed and Capt. Evil worked with the children and at the same time involved the adults. Overall it was an educational and entertaining experience well worth our time. We enjoyed it very much and have recommended it to other visitors to BH. | ||||||

| Diver Ed and his crew of Captain Evil and the Newfoundlands are outstanding. From the carefully marked path to the meeting spot to the personal farewell to each guest, the event represents careful and thoughtful planning. This is the best family adventure I have experienced as a parent and grandparent. It is wholesome, educational, and fun. The message of respecting the awe, wonder and dignity of nature is loud and clear, yet the entire event is comfortable and entertaining. I would not only recommend this activity, I would urge every family to experience it. When we return to Mt. Desert Island, we will look forward to another adventure with Diver Ed! | I took a high school friend and her grandddaughter out w/ Diver Ed and we all had a great time! Ed and Edna do a TERRIFIC JOB! Lady Liberty needs more experience and a little of Ed and Edna's enthusiasm to complete the wonderful time. Overall, we had a great time! | ||||||
