| Diver Ed's enthusiasm for sea life and for sharing it with the kids made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. Our 6 year old had a great time learning about the sea cucumbers, sea stars, and lobsters while getting drenched by Diver Ed's antics. My family enjoyed this tour so much. | ||||||

| Diver Ed is an excellent experience for kids and adults. Eddie and Edna are wonderful naturalists and the kids just love it. Educational, funny, a great time for the entire family. | ||||||

| I have been to Bar Harbor for many years and try to come each year. Being from the midwest area I miss the ocean and love Maine...but this trip my granddaughter accompanied me and I thought this would be fun for her.....she loves all creatures. But was I ever surprised when I found myself glued to the screen as Diver Ed explored the ocean floor with his camera......WOW it was thrilling to see the lobster move with such speed...and backwards......and I learned so much... Oh by the way.......my granddaughter had a smile on her face the entire time......Diver Ed is a hoot and his dogs are gems........I would highly recommend this adventure for young and old......alike...........don't miss it! Both Diver Ed and his wife make the trip such a delight......really worth the money...... | ||||||

| My husband and I took our two children, ages 3 and 6, on the Diver Ed Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise. We had a blast! Diver Ed and his crew are knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend Diver Ed for kids of all ages. | ||||||

| I enjoyed Diver Ed's sense of humor and ease with kids and adults alike, and Edna's natural science knowledge gave the experience context. Our kids (2 1/2 and 4) really enjoyed seeing Diver Ed as he collected specimens and then getting to hold them and explore them up close. Ed and the crew's sense of humor, enthusiasm, and knowledge tied it all together into a fun trip for all! | ||||||

| Diver Ed is entertaining as heck. The kids love him. It is great to see what it looks like under the water - which I find is nothing like I would expect it to. Kids love the "eeeew-y" stuff, and Diver Ed always seems to come up with some of that! Besides being great fun, I hope it is teaching the children about loving our Bay and respecting the creatures that live in it. | ||||||

| The Diver Ed activity includes a nice boat cruise; viewing of seabirds, eagles, seals, islands, and a lighthouse; and, the highlight, participation via live videofeed in Diver Ed's exploration of the ocean floor. This offered a great look at the creatures which live under the sea, particularly when many of them were brought aboard the ship for close-up viewing and even touching! The combination of presentations by Diver Ed, his wife (the boat captain), and the National Park ranger made the information educational and entertaining, a nice mix. Our children ranged in age from nine to fourteen and all enjoyed the cruise very much. The boat crew was very attentive to comfort, adjusting plastic window sheeting as needed when water spray started to blow into the boat and get passengers wet. They seemed to genuinely enjoy showing folks the sea creatures and took care to be sure everyone had plenty of time to examine everything. While this cruise was a bit pricey, we were out for three and a half hours, so we felt it was money well spent, given the time we had out on the water and the things we learned. | ||||||

| The boat ride was smooth and comfortable and our children 4 and 3 loved it. We had friends with us and their children are 4 and 5. Both families had a blast! The adults got to touch creatures we had never touched (or seen) before. The staff and Diver Ed have great personalities and make it fun. We opted for the longer ride with the park ranger and got to see harbor seals and an eagle as well as other birds. The only suggestion I have is to do the ranger part after the diving because of the kids were anxious for Diver Ed to go under! | ||||||

| Diver Ed, Captain Evil Edna, and Deckhand Dick provided a wonderfully fun, educational, and inspirational time on the boat. The wackiness is loved by the kids (and adults, too), but it's obvious that Diver Ed has a clear set of educational objectives and a plan to accomplish those objectives. I saw a lot, learned a lot, and came away impressed with the experience. What was most appreciated by me was that _every_ child's participation was important to Ed and his crew (in other words, the most reserved children received as much attention as the most boisterous). My kids are incredibly reserved, and typically during activities like this they are lost in the loud crowd. That was not the case with Diver Ed. . . he is a man on a mission and he's making sure everyone is on board with him. (and Captain Evil is just about the sweetest person we've ever met. . . she's awesome with the kids!) | ||||||

| This was a great choice of activities for my 7 year old son and my wife and I. We all learned some thing and had lots of laughs as well. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. | ||||||

| If I was only going to do one thing in BAR HARBOR with or without kids this would be it. Diver Ed was funny and educational. We ALL loved it. It was real!!!! So opposite of Disney. Loved everything about it. His passion for the ocean was contagious. Would definitely do it again!!!!!!!!! | ||||||

| We were very pleased with the Diver Ed cruise. The camera work underwater is VERY interesting (for the adults too) and the kids love helping Diver Ed with his drysuit and then had a great time touching the animals when they come up. We also saw seals and a bald eagle. The staff was entertaining and very nice. Great activity for kids ages 4-12 or so, or for well-behaved toddlers (our daughter is 2.5 and did well). | ||||||

| This is the 2nd time we've gone out on Diver Ed's boat and our kids love it. Diver Ed, Captain Evil and Deckhand Dick are wonderful educators and entertainers. We go to Maine every summer and Diver Ed is always top our list. Our 4 and 6 year old boys love it -- we love it too. Pure joy. | ||||||
