Diver Ed

Diver Ed is a very entertaining. He demonstates great enthusiasm and excitment about his dive. He does a great job of involving his audience and the children can get close and personal with the animals that Diver Ed brings up from the bay floor. We plan to take his cruise again next summer with our grandchildren.

This was our second time on Diver Ed's boat and we would highly recommend it. My six year old loved it both times! Diver Ed and Captain Evil are a great team and the staff is so approachable. Diver Ed is hysterical and we learned so much about all of the sea animals he brought up. It was also very cool to hold all of them. We can't wait to go again.

Diver Ed was a great tour! I had done some research before and it did not disappoint. Ed was enthusiastic, entertaining and knew how to get the kids involved. My kids were 3 and 5. They had a great time. During our tour the current wasn't very strong hence the visibility underwater wasn't all that amazing. However, the camera used was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour to families with kids. Great entertainement and educational value at the same time,

An educational and fun experience - with or without kids. Diver Ed is both an excellent educator and entertainer.

This trip is a Must Do for families with young kids. Our kids, 7, 11, 13 had a ton of fun. The adults enjoyed the trip as well.

Diver Ed and Evil's enthusiasm is maintained throughout the show and every child on the boat was thoroughly entertained (as were most of the adults). Informative and entertaining for all ages. We have now done three of the harbor cruises in Maine and this was by the far the best one for children

Diver Ed has a lot of energy which is great for kids. It was educational and fun for all. I could do without the 2 large Newfoundland dogs on board. The location for parking and the walk to and from the boat are NOT good for disabled. If Diver Ed is going to work from the College of the Atlantic then he needs to have handicap parking. But be warned because it is no where in the review even the handicap parking is a long walk to the boat down a hill and steep ramp. Perhaps having a wheelchair available would help. At the very least, they must describe walk and send caution to families on their website.

Kids were enthralled from stary to finish

We had a great time with Diver Ed and his crew! Our boat ride was fun, entertaining, and educational. We were able to see and touch lots of sea animals such as; lobsters, star fish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and more! Would definitely recommend this to anybody visiting the area!

Loved the tour. Second time. Fascinating underwater show. Super personalities. All ages entertained and educated. Most highly recommended.

If you are here with kids of even just adults, you can't get better value for your buck. Comedy, entertainment, beautiful views from on the water, all that with an education packed boat outing!!!

Great for children, grownups and seniors.

This is a really great experience for the whole family. Our trip was a short and calm ride out. Diver Ed and Captian Evil are great entertainers and there was never a dull moment on the boat. I really enjoyed the trip myself and had a great time touching and seeing the sea creatures up close. My 6 yr old daughter also had a great time and was completely engaged the whole time. My 3yr old son was not as in to it, and maybe he's a little too young for the experience. The HD video from the bottom of the ocean is really great as well, showing the animals that you'll be touching in their natural habitats and how they move in the water (very different than when out of the water). Captain Evil's commentary and Diver Ed's antics during this portion is hilarious. The cost is a little pricey, but I think totally worth it. Don't forget to bring a light jacket since it gets cold out there on the water.

This is our 4th year in a row with Diver Ed, his buddies Dan, Leviathan, and the rest of the crew on the Starfish Enterprise. Always full of energy. This ride can't be missed.

This was our second trip with Diver Ed and his lovely wife, the kids absolutley loved it! And we love watching our children enjoy. If you are in Bar Harbor, you have to go out on their boat. It's an easy trip out to where he dives, no sea sickness involved! And the thrill of watching him find sea life on the bottom, is just awesome!!! Just remember your jackets, those Maine winds can get chilly!
