Diver Ed

What an enjoyable time! Great concept- an informative tour of the surrounding area and a scuba divers view of the ocean below. The kids were glued to the screen when Diver Ed was diving and then they got to hold everything he found! To top it off- his 2 newfs kept everyone company on board...We would definitely recommend this trip! (I rarely write reviews when asked, however, I feel this trip is a must for those in the area!)

I had a wonderful experience at the Dive-In Theater Boat Cruise. It was a lot of fun, and certainly a unique experience. Great for all ages.

Diver Ed and crew can certainly entertain!! We had small children so the under water part took some interaction on our part to keep them with the activity. Once the animals were brought on-board they could care less where we were! It was very exciting and the little ones talked about it all weekend. From start to finish the best age group might be over the age of eight, but still a thrill for us. Great for the adults too and I learned a lot. One note on the directions, meet at the shark skull would be helpful.

Great activity for seeing and learning about some of the marine life in Frenchman's Bay. Our grandchildren learned a lot and loved handling all the marine life. The adults in the group also enjoyed the "show"

It isn't often that you come across someone who clearly loves his job. We came across two of those people when we met Dlver Ed and Captain Evil. Their joy in conducting Dive In Theater comes across loud and clear - and it makes the experience all the better. Our 9 year old daughter loved the whole thing - from Diver Ed's life jacket drill (involving a huge Newfoundland dog) to pushing him overboard in his dive suit to having a sea cucumber dangled above her head. A unique experience and well worth your time!

We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Diver Ed and Captain Evil for the greatest time. We haven't laughed so hard and had that much fun in a long tome. We Had ages from 6 to 68 in our group of 7 and all of us had a great time. We had a two week vacation and did lots of fun exciting things but this excursion was the highlight of the trip.

Great experience Very interesting and informative mixed with a lot of fun! Would highly recomend this trip. The kids on this trip really had a good time and every one was given the opertunity to participate in hands on activities.

The Diver Ed team was organized and provided a fun cruise that was informative AND entertaining! Everyone in our group, from 3 to 40 years old, had a great time on the boat watching the antics of Diver Ed (and mini-Ed, too!). Everyone jumped at the opportunity to touch the sea creatures (especially the sea cucumber- blech!) and help set them free after we all had a chance to view them. Ed and Captain Evil spoke with each and every passenger, which gave a very personal touch to the cruise. We also loved meeting the dogs! Good job guys!!

I went with my 3 year old and we had a blast! We'll be going again next year.

My kids were a bit young (3) to totally enjoy but my 5 year old had a blast. We (the adults) did too. Def. Worth the money. Tips: Bring layers, eat at 2cats afterwards. Great morning.

We had an amazing time. It was educational, fun for our daughter and entertaining for the parents! A must do for any visit to Bar Harbor!

The kids love it the parents love it....it is educational and funny and organized and relaxed all at the same time. Unique outing to do on your vacation!!!

I bought tickets for visiting family (2 adults, twin 6 year old boys, and 4 year old little girl). They haven't stopped talking about it - especially pushing Diver Ed into the water! They all found it not only fun but informative, even the little one repeated what she had learnt about sea urchins, lobsters (she also changed Ed's name to Diver Dave for some reason...!). Excellent value, super fun for all ages and definitely an event to recommend to all visitors. Something that will bring them back again and again to our beautiful island.

Diver Ed and his family genuinely care that each of the passengers has a good time. The warm feeling from the family was great. They made sure that every person in the boat touched each and every item collected from the ocean. Very nice! Here are some comments from my children (5 year old twins) "I liked how he (Ed) held the sealife animals so that it would not hurt them. He was very careful." "I liked seeing the animals -- the lobster, the sand dollars, the crabs and sea stars." "I liked touching the horse mussell." "I liked seeing Diver Ed on the screen collecting the animals and putting them in the bag from the ocean floor." My nine year old also thoroughly enjoyed the program. She was able to ask many questions and get answers from Ranger Tony, Diver Ed and Captain Evil. The quality of the underwater camera is excellent. During our trip we also saw some bald eagles... which was pretty awesome. We saw them flying around. We saw a seagull chase a bald eagle. We also saw a bald eagle catch a fish/bird from the water surface. Totally cool! Ranger Tony was excellent. His observations were informative and educational. Thank you everyone for a truly memorable experience.
