Immediately saw lots of dolphins, up close to the boat, and even "racing" the boat in the wake as it sped away (suggestion: sit in back!). Learned about the islands, history, birds, and other animals. The crew seemed genuinely interested, not just going through the motions. Found lots of shells on the beautiful beach. Free pictures to take home. Very enjoyable, and we are recommending it to others for sure.

We are from the midwest and went to Marco Island over Xmas 2011 for 8 days. We signed up for this tour and an airboat tour in the everglades. Both were great. However the family on return home talked about this tour as being the best we've ever done on all our vacations anywhere (NYC Manhattan tour, Chicago river tour, Riverbout tour in New Orleans). It's a 3 hour tour (no Gilligan Island jokes, please!) so it is a long ride...and you see many good sites, including the ABC's (mangrove islands). The crew take pics (dophins, birds, turtles and butterfliers) and print them off and just...wait for it....gave them to us....for FREE. My kid got a pic of a sea turtle that was awesome. We got a family pic on the beach that was just handed to us! No nickle and diming for a couple of photos (I'm so tired of "here is a nice family photo...got 20 bucks for it?"). Also, a good history lesson on the earliest Indian tribes was also offered. Oh,and did I say.....WE SAW DOLPHINS! The captain knew all the tricks of the trade. You also get a great 45 min break on a beach that offers a great panorama of the gulf. I strongly recommend this trip. The captain got the dophins swimming into the engine surf and they were awesome. Sit in the back of the boat and you will enjoy everything you see. Highly recommended by me, my wife and two teen boys.

2nd time we've been on this trip. loved it. Trent knows his stuff and David was a great captain. makes driving the boat look easy! Got some great shots of dolphins both times. will definitely be back for a 3rd time next year. Thanks

We recently went on the dolphin eco-tour with our family (2 kids - 12 & 10), along with grandparents, and can't say enough good things about it. The onboard naturalist and captain were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, explaining and teaching the entire time. The number of dolphins we saw and learned about was well beyond our expectations. The entire tour was run in an incredibly professional fashion, and unlike many "touristy" things, there was no attempt to get extra money from people by selling "extras" or requiring payment for anything outside of the cost of the tour. Simply put, I can't recommend this tour enough.

We have been coming to Marco for 8 years and always wanted to take this trip. It was a great morning and we saw a lot of Dolphins up close and personal, including 3 babies swimming together. The guide was very knowledgeable and he was great with the children on board. We loved the pictures he took and especially loved the ones he gave us at the end of the trip. Would definitly do it again with our grandchildren next time.

Family enjoyed seeing birds, dolphins, fish and shells. This was such fun for the young (18months) to 70yrs young. Do this every year with our grandchildren. We all look forward to the fun and the wonderful speakers on the boat.

Excellent guide and captain. I learned a lot in a fun and engaged way. We learned about and spotted dolphins, egrets, and osprey. The guide was informative and had books for each of us. Both the captain and guide answered all questions asked and were able to accommodate requests from the kids on board.

We absolutely loved our dolphin excursion. We have 3 children 6, 9, and 11 and we all loved it! Very educational, fun and definitely worth the money. We initially thought too expensive but definitely worth it. Staff was knowledgeable and great answering questions etc.

The Dolphin explorer is a great activity whether you are with children or not. The guides are very motivated and well informed about the dolphins. They share all kinds of fascinating facts about the dolphins. The trip out to the island to go shelling was very relaxing and beautiful! You also get a nice little history lesson about Marco Island on the way back to port.

We booked the Eco-Dolphin tour which was a reccomedation from another family staying at the same hotel as us. We have a 6 year old daughter. She loved the tour from seeing the dolphins and working on her scavenger hunt, to going to the private beach and finding beautiful shells. All we heard from our daughter was "awesome" Our tour guide was engaging, knowlegable, fun and just as excited as we were. My husband and I learned a lot as well as my daughter and we all had a great time!!! Would totally reccomend the tour!!

The dolphin - explorer sea excursion was the most exiting event I experienced during my six day stay in Naples . To sea this fabulous creachers in there native habitat... Wow!! I would recommend this tour to everybody , especially those whith children. Way better than any zoo( animal prison ). Very educational and fun! 3 hours flue like 5 min. Better yet, they give you great quality photographs taken and printed right on a board!

Great excursion, Kent is an outstanding guide. Saw plenty of dolphins.

Great trip! We saw over 17 dolphins in their natural habitat! The hilight was seeing a mom with her 2 month old baby and also the dolphins playing in the boat's wake. Highly suggest!
