The tour was fun, informative, and we saw a ton of wildlife (numerous dolphins, manatee, and birds). James was our naturalist and did an excellent job. The boat was comfortable and all adults and kids had a great time.

This was the high light of my vacation. My daughter loved it. Especially when one of the dolphins splashed us. She keeps talking about it. The unexpected pictures were a pleasent suprise. I will recomend this to all my friends & family that visit Marco Island & the Naples area.

The boat skipper was fun and the naturalist who told us all about the dolphins was great. He was patient with the children, answered all of their questions and even gave us free pictures of a dolphin in action jumping after our boat (even one for each child). We all had a really good time.

Not enough time on the beach

It was the best eco-tour I have ever been. My family and I have enjoyed a lot the tour. The Capitan and the Nature specialist were very knowledgeable and very focused in customer satisfaction,responding questions and helping all the group. It was a great adventure for my familty... Our daughters loved to see the Dolphins..... Good value spend for al lthe fun...

Expensive but well worth the investment. The crew are very pleasant and knowledgeable and able to pitch to all age groups effectively. The boat is a good size and in good repair and allows good views of the action. Recommended strongly - Danny D from London (UK)

If you are looking for a great education experience this is the one for you. I do not usually write reviews, but this is an experience you do not want to pass up. The day we went out into the Gulf of Mexico we saw many dolphins, mothers with their calves. We actually saw a string ray breach out of the water. What a sight. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They had many activities for the children on board to keep their interest.

Friendly staff, with a lot of knowledge about dolphins, they are really engaged with the matter, teached us a lot and made the tour both educational and funny. We've been very glad to see a lot of dolphins swimming and jumping in their natural habit. If you are much more interested in nature than in shows (like e.g. at seaworld), it's absolutely worthwhile to go on that tour!

It was so exciting seeing the dolphins swimming and jumping in the wake of the boat and the swimming in the waves and collecting shells on the pure white sand was beautiful. The crew were so friendly and knowledgable and it was great to have instant photos as a momento of our wonder trip.

I have 3 children, ages 11, 8 and 6 who all enjoyed the trip very much. We had previously seen dolphins in captivity and I wanted the children to understand how much better it was for dolphins to live in the wild, so we chose this trip above all others, as it was advertised as 'run by researchers'. We were introduced to our guide and captain and were told how to identify the dolphins and given identification folders to look at, also the children were given activity booklets to complete. Spotting dolphins was our first task and the captain always gave everyone ample opportunity to get a good look. My children particularly enjoyed the freedom to move about the boat taking photos. They also enjoyed looking for shells and swimmming, and were pleased with their surprise photos and sew on badges presented to them at the end. As an ecology graduate who has been on dolphin research expeditions, I enjoyed the trip at a 'tourist' level and found that the children were engaged and well catered for. However, the trip very much relies on the passengers spotting the dolphins and other wild life and asking questions. If you don't ask....you won't necessarily be told the information, so be an active participant to get the most from your guide, who knows alot! There are also books on board to refer to if you are interested. This trip is good value for money and caters for all ages and interests. It was excellent for the children as it introduced them to dolphin behaviour in an informal, practical way, but also gave them a break off the boat to have a run around.

Crew was very informative and interactive with guests. Provided drinks and pictures for no additional costs, which we really appreciated. Would recommend for families with children as a lot of the activities were geared toward them. All in all a very nice 3 hour trip.

Rather than have an expensive meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we decided to go on the Dolphin Explorer as we had done this last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year's trip was very different as we didn't see as many dolphins but were lucky enough to see several manatees. The crew on board were very knowledgable and were able to anwer any questions that we had. We certainly learned a lot and plan to do the trip again next year when we're over in Marco. Certainly well worth the money and I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

We (family with 3 children of 5, 10 and 11 years old) took the tour at 1 pm and we really had a wonderful afternoon. Chris and James knew exacty where to find the dolphins. Some even swam behind the boat, to play. James made beautiful pictures of the dolphins which he gave us to take home. During the tour, James told a lot about the dolphins and surroundings. The stop of 45 min at an Island was delightful. Nobody but us were there and we found very nice shells. Do not hesitate to take this tour, you will not be disappointed!

Great experience, would definitely do it again. Knowledgeable staff made it a pleasant experience for my wife and I. Only suggestion I have would be to add a speaker of some sort so that I could hear the talking better because it was hard when the boat was moving due to the engine being loud.
