The dolphin study tour was a wonderful way to observe dolphins in their natural habitat. We had over 10 dolphin sightings. It was perfect for kids old enough to identify dolphins by their dorsal fins, as well as being able to identify different species of birds. The entire crusie was very kid friendly. It was truly a "study", and it was fun to be part of such a unique project. Lots of dolphins!!!!! |

We took our 8 & 10-yr-old grsndchildren with us and we all enjoyed the entire trip. The children enjoyed James (our guide) and could not stop talking about how smart he was because he knew all of the names of the shells and dolphins. They enjoyed every minute of it!!! We would highly recommend it! |

Our family throughly enjoyed watching for dolphins and then discovering them jumping right in the wake of the ship! The Grandchildren learned about dolphins and their habits. The ability to pick up sea shells was a great treasure hunt (only the time was too short). |

This was well worth the $50 per ticket. Make sure you wear/bring some solid sunscreen as it's very easy to get a burn.
Also, your point-and-shoot Walmart cameras won't be good enough, simple as that. If you plan on taking pictures that won't be blurry/misfocused, or only get a sliver of a dolphin, buy a DSLR camera. Yeah, it's expensive, but without at LEAST a 200mm lens and an DSLR you're going to get crappy photos.
Also, physical contact with the dolphins is not prohibited, especially in a romantic sense. So all you zoophiles need to look elsewhere for that stuff.
Be sure to tip well. |

The trip was exactly as described. The boat was in wonderful condition. It was nice to have the canopy for shade; we had my 88 year old mom with us and the shade was great. Kent's knowledge was extensive and informative. Great teacher. The books with all the pictures of the dolphins and history, and the little "search" sheets for the kids were great. During the whole trip we were never rushed or felt that we were on a set schedule. The barrier beach was beautiful and the shells were spectatular. Kent was right there to answer any questions and he made sure to get a family picture of each group. He even made a second set for my mom. Now that's pretty special. His use of photography and his ability to immediately share his amazing pictures with all of us was a bonus that we were all impressed with and by. The time was perfect and I highly recommend the tour to all ages. Thank you and we'll be back.

As a wife as well as mom to four kiddos 8 and under, finding suitable activities for all of us is sometimes challenging. I selected this boat ride/excursion for both the dolphin experience and the seashell hunting on the beach. It was everything I expected and more. We all spotted several dolphins and many local bird species as well as learning about the mangroves. The seashelling was a dream...on a pristine beach with bountiful unbroken shells. The staff was friendly...even taking photos and then providing us with a copy! My kids earned a dolphin experience badge and even managed to take away some memorable facts about the dolphins. Highly recommend this outing for anyone. We loved it! |

We are a family of 5 with three girls age 10, 8, and 6 and we absolutely loved this tour. It was on a smaller boat with a well educated marine biologist on board expaining things very well. Kids liked getting involved with the research kits that they hand out and the shelling on the island was quite good.
Only complaint was that it ended too soon! |

All four of us adults had a tremendous time on this tour!...The Guide was so good and educated all of us! We loved the dolphins eating fish and playing so close to the boat. Also, the birds were awesome to observe. We couldn't believe that the photos which the Guide took were given to us! The Tour was a terrific experience and one of the most memorable experiences of our whole Florida trip. We would highly recommend it to others. |

We saw 20 dolphins on the trip. The dolphins swam along the side of the boat and were playing in the wake of the boat. The kids (ages 5 and 7) had tons of fun and enjoyed learning about dolphins and earned their badges. Keeywadin beach for shelling was lovely. Great value. Look forward to repeating the trip next time we are in Florida. Highly recommend this trip. |

This is a different type of boat cruise in that it's specific in spotting dolphins. We can do without the island stop looking for shells. It was hot and there was no shelter, no drinks. |
