reading other reviews we thought we would see 10+ dolphins, however we saw 3...yes, they swam in wake, yes we got some good pics, yes we went shelling on the beach, but also not prime time as in afternoon....overall, a bit of a disappointment and I did not think worth the price.($250 for family of 5)..I would suggest they have a sliding scale refund based on number of close up encounters with these dolpins |

Thought this might be a little corny but they pulled it off very well. Good trip for adults with kids or just adults, with lots of good memories to take home. My 4 year old took his job to mark down each dolphin spotted so seriously he missed some of the action but did it did not matter to him. He was very proud of the fact that they were relying on him to keep track of the dolphins, it made him feel very important. Everyone was very pleasant and attentive to all of the passengers. I learned some things and enjoyed all that I saw and did on this trip. If you are only going to do one or two tours or activities in the Naples area make this one of them. |

There are several things I look for when planning an excursion as a tourist-fun, educational, stimulating and variety.. This tour had it all. Plus they do a wonderful service by researching and helping the dolphin population of southwest Florida.
The time allowed was perfect. The break at Keewadin to go shelling was at just the right time and the right length of time. The capt of the boat gave us ample opportunities to see the dolphins up close and while the boat was at rest. The marine biologist gave us context which the typical tour does not have. This is a must see, and I would go again. |

We went on this tour 5 years ago and had a great time: lots of dolphins. Only saw 2 this time, but we stayed with them a long time and they demonstrated a lot of varied behaviors. Dolphin sightings are out of the control of the crew, but what is in their control is the quality of the experience; and for that we give them top marks. Since our last visit, they've added new Naturalist and archaeological presentations to the cruise, which we found interesting and well presented. The crew are as friendly as can be, including the adorable labradoodle! The beach break is refreshing and idyllic, with shell collecting to rival Sanibel.
You'll likely see dolphins and help identify them. You'll see osprey nests and assorted waterfowl. In season you may see manatees. You'll enjoy a lovely time on the water with a knowledgeable and friendly crew. Bring a cooler with some of your own snacks, and maybe drinks: their drink selection is mostly water. Do I have to say bring your camera?
Highly recommended. We'll be back again on a future visit.
P.S. The Snook Inn, just down the road from the marina for beach shack drinks and a hokey atmosphere afterwards is a fun topper to your day. |

This tour was amazing! The tour guide (James) was a wealth of knowledge, not just about dolphins but about all of the other wild life in the area. I cannot say enough good things about this tour and the operators! |

We enjoyed our trip and would recommend this trip to others. The guides really seemed enthusiastic and eager to answer questions. The fact that we got to take a boat ride, see dolphins, crabs in a trap, osprey, and visit a gorgeous beach made this trip a that we considered a value. |

The tour was advertised as a dolphin research tour. We did, indeed see dolphins and the leader took many photos. In addition, we saw many mangrove islands and had a discussion about the mangroves. We saw a number of osprey nests and ospreys. The shell beach had lots of shells but not many interesting ones. The sail around the Naples waters was very pleasant. To cap it all, the leader took photos of any who wanted photos, took photos of the wildlife we saw and printed copies for all on the trip. Wow! |

Not feeling well and dreading the thought of 3 hours captured on a boat, it wasn't long after casting off that there were dolphins around us near the pier. These dolphins were followed at a sensible distance and afforded some photo opportunities. Interest thus soared as well as my own physical well-being improving.
Further out on the way to the gulf the ospreys nesting on many of the channel markers was of great interest to me, but the presence of one such pair circling above their demolished marker and nest was particularly disturbing. The nest floating nearby. We could only hope the pair could rebuild in time for a new family, this breeding period.
Watching dolphins is most interesting when they follow the boat and this occurred on our trip. Further, the depth of information available from Kent, the naturalist on board, about dolphins and this particular environment was fascinating and enhanced by the excellent handling of the boat by Chris.
All in all, an excellent nature excursion and one that I would heartily recommend to anyone. |

Multiple sightings of 22 different dolphins. Staff responsive to questions and very helpful in making this wonderful experience. The visit to the beach provided an opportunity for walking, shelling and reflecting. Well worth it and great for children. B. Kaufman, East Lansing, Michigan. |

What most impressed my friends and me about the trip was the genuine and enthusiastic attitude of the guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and sincerely interested in not only the dolphins but in his passengers as well. We especially appreciated the beautifully clear pictures he took of us on the beach and of the flying and spinning dolphins which followed in the wake of the boat. I sent copies of these pictures to my grandchildren. A fun, educational and happy day! |

A little expensive, but worth it! James is an excellent young marine biologist, who takes time to explain the biology of the dolphins, fish, birds and plants, as well as the local history of the area. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Captain Dave was an excellent driver, and we all felt very safe with his skills as a boat captain. Overall, I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is curious about dolphins and for those who would just like to relax on an afternoon cruise. Thanks so much! |
