Would definitely recommend the Dolphin Excursion. Went with family, 5 adults and 4 kids age range 7-13. Everyone had a great time. The naturalist got the kids involved right away with an activity guide, two different versions for older and younger kids. Saw many dolphins about 4=5 different sightings. The captain spent several minutes with each group and would turn the boat and try to "play with them". The dolphins were right next to our boat swimming to back and forth from both sides. The island was great as well. Nice beach and loads of shells. The naturalist took a picture of our group and printed it up for us, 3 copies so each family had one. We also got pictures of the dolphins and an osprey family in its nest that we saw. I would highly recommend this trip and would even go on it again. |

Presentation (expectation of such cruise and scientist project ) and pictures book appreciated and relevant. It is really interesting for children and parents. Few dolphins were seen during our cruise. Two of them followed and jumped behing the boat which was really funny for kids !
However, the stop at the beach (during 45 min.) is not relevant. We really should appreciate to continue the cruise to discover area and to see more dolphins. |

What most impressed my friends and me about the trip was the genuine and enthusiastic attitude of the guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and sincerely interested in not only the dolphins but in his passengers as well. We especially appreciated the beautifully clear pictures he took of us on the beach and of the flying and spinning dolphins which followed in the wake of the boat. I sent copies of these pictures to my grandchildren. A fun, educational and happy day! |

The trip was exactly as described. The boat was in wonderful condition. It was nice to have the canopy for shade; we had my 88 year old mom with us and the shade was great. Kent's knowledge was extensive and informative. Great teacher. The books with all the pictures of the dolphins and history, and the little "search" sheets for the kids were great. During the whole trip we were never rushed or felt that we were on a set schedule. The barrier beach was beautiful and the shells were spectatular. Kent was right there to answer any questions and he made sure to get a family picture of each group. He even made a second set for my mom. Now that's pretty special. His use of photography and his ability to immediately share his amazing pictures with all of us was a bonus that we were all impressed with and by. The time was perfect and I highly recommend the tour to all ages. Thank you and we'll be back.

Dolphin Explorer - An Incredible Experience!

This is a wonderful way to get close to the Dolphins that live in their natural environment in Marco Island. The boat is manned by friendly professionals who take time to teach and share their environmental dolphin monitoring experience with their visitors. The trip is sensational as you get up close to the dolphins after they are spotted which takes a lot of involvement from all the visitors. Riley the dog is happy to help spot them as well. He is part of the crew. The island visit was out of this world. The photos of the sea and deserted beach & all the shelling that you can do just add more & more to this experience. It made our holiday! |

You will learn a lot about dolphins, but also see much more wildlife. The biologist is extremely knowledgeable and interesting. Beside the trip, you can go shelling, get pictures of wildlife seen and a picture of yourself! It was worth the money and fun! |

The information provided by James is very interesting and informative, and given in the right amounts. We were not "lectured" and yet he happily answered any and all questions. It was lovely to get out on a boat, enjoy the sunshine, get to see the dolphins up close, and learn about their habits. And also the opsprey's and manatees. I have taken this excursion before and will do it again. |

Great boat trip (wonderful to be on the water), excellent dolphin and wildlife sightings. Best of all was Kent the naturalist who was generous with facts, ideas and conversation as well as taking pictures which he shared with everyone. Our family picture on the beach he took and printed for us brings back wonderful memories. |

It was a great cruise!! The young man who was the guide was very knowledgeable. He shared with us the pictures of dolphins he'd cataloged and pointed out those same dolphins we saw on the cruise. The dolphins had a great time following the catamaran and leaping out of the water and we had an even greater time watching them. At the end of the trip he gave us pictures he had taken during the cruise of the dolphins and an osprey in flight clutching a fish in her talon. She had been feed ing her babies in their nest and flew out of the nest to divert us away from the nest and her babies when the boat came too close for her comfort. |

We've taken the Dolphin Study Eco-Tour twice now in 3 years and would take it every year if we could. Our guide, Kent, was very personable and knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. The captain(can't remember his name) was great too. We saw all sorts of incredible animals. Take this tour! |

My daughter, her husband and their two children, ages 14 and 11, joined me for our first "dolphin experience." However, Helena (the 11 year old) has been on Skype with Sea Excursions all year long and she was treated like a celebrity onboard.
As a teacher, this was a great learning tool, even for an English professor; as a grandparent, this was a not-to-be-missed family experience. Everyone was professional and courteous; moreover, they displayed friendliness and conviviality that was real and charming.
This was one of our best outings in Florida. We'd do it again in a heartbeat. |

Ever since watching Flipper and Gentle Ben as a kid have always wanted to see Dolphins in their natural habitat and visit the Everglades. This activity provided numerous dolphin encounters and the crew was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. |

We were very pleased with our decision to spend time and money on this activity. It's not exactly 'hard science' but what they do is more interesting. As the dad on this trip I was most impressed that small but appreciated touches such as photo prints and drinks were included in the price - no nickel and diming. I felt very good about giving a generous tip. These are good people who know their craft and enjoy what they do. This experience was the highlight of our week in Florida! |
