Door County Trolley

This was worth the money. Great scenic views and lots of information on what to do in the area. Wish we had done it earlier because you learn about so many opportunities that are available. John was a fantastic tour guide. My 6 and 4 year olds got to sit up front and be co-pilots, they enjoyed! Plan to try another themed tour in the future sans kids like the bloody mary brunch or wine tasting!

I thought the tour was awesome! A lot of fun! The only complaint I have is the 3rd winery next to the cheese place. I believe it was one of the newer winery's was awful. The workers were very rude and not hopefully with any of our questions

Not much to say except that we had a fantastic time. highly recommend and would do it again! Thank you for the fantastic service!

Our driver, John, knew the history of Door County very well. He explained it in a way that was interesting, with lots of humor. Our lunch, that was included, at Gordon Lodge was out of this world. Food was great, service was great and the view breathtaking. John made the tour. It was our first time being in Door County and due to John we are already planning a return trip.

The Door County Wine Trolley tour was very enjoyable. It was a comfortable and fun way to visit some wineries and see some of Door County. The host was informative and entertaining. There was plenty of time to shop the wineries and sample the wines. I would recommend to anyone, as you get to enjoy the wine tastings and not be concerned with driving.

My husband and I went on the wine tour with tour guide Trolley Todd. He was a great tour guide! He was funny, and very interesting and kept the tour entertaining! We had a nice lunch too. We saw four wineries and bought over a dozen wines and wine glasses too. We recommend this tour!

We had John as our tour guide. He was very friendly and funny and really shares with his tour. We enjoyed ourselves very much! We saw 5 interesting lighthouses.The lunch was very good at Gordan's Lodge.

Always wanted to visit the Noble House, so this stop on tour was a plus. Thoroughly enjoyed the stories of local history, and the guide was entertaining, personable, and obviously enjoyed his job. We enjoyed the tour so much that it led us to buy the book "Haunted Door County" by author Gayle Soucek. However, in reading the book, we found several discrepancies in the guide's stories vs the book. As an example, we would like to know if Edgar Thorpe died during the sinking of the Hackley, or did his brother, Roy, talk him out of going on the sailing (as the book states). Another example is the story of the little boy, Huey Melvin. Both our guide and the book states he died of tetanus, but the author goes on to tell about a park ranger seeing apparitions of "Huey" as opposed to the guide's story of the park ranger seeing an apparition of a little boy who drowned at the lighthouse in Peninsula State Park and whose family was actually living in the lighthouse at the time. We realize stories can be embellished, especially concerning the ghostly aspects, but it would be interesting to know how much of each story is based on fact. Overall, though, the tour was very entertaining.

We enjoyed the wineries visited and our host/trolley driver was very friendly and informative. The lunch was delicious (although my husband's only complaint was his meal was served cold when it should have been hot). The only thing I would change would be to shorten the trip by 1 hour; otherwise, it was a delightful experience.

Despite a cool and cloudy day, our guide Jim assured that we all had a good experience. He was a fantastic guide; his vast knowledge of the history of the area added to the basic facts. He was personable, and solicitous to the group. That he enjoys his job was obvious! The docent at the Eagle Bluff lighthouse, Patty, was also excellent!

We had an amazing time! Our driver/guide Darrel was great. He told stories along the way and made it fun. It was great because when we bought our wine, we left it at the counters of the winery and Darrel made sure it got on the bus and stored it for us. Very well organized and are looking forward to doing some of the other tours that are offered.

This is the 2nd time I took the Ghost Tour, the 1st time for my friend. We both enjoyed it. The stories are very informative. The tour guide is very in character. I'll be going again when I'm in the area.
