Land & Sea Historical Tour of Portland & Casco Bay

We really enjoyed the duck boat tour!! The tour guide was knowledgable and funny at the same time. The lengh was good, but I wish we had a little bit more time in the water. Its so beautiful out there I was not ready to be done!! Got to see a great amount of Portland!! Highly recommend!

I was somewhat disappointed in the tour, the land portion particularly. Because of the design of the bus, it was hard to see much of what the tour guide was pointing out. I did enjoy the water portion- the views were beautiful and the cool air was refreshing (it was a stifling 95 degrees that day). I agreed with some of the other reviews that the guide went a little overboard with the quacking.

I thought the tour was very good for adults and first time tourists to Portland. Too advanced for a 7-year old. The trip in the water was fun, but too short. I understand there was a cruise ship in the harbor, so this may have cut our water time down.

My friends and I live in Portland and have seen the Duck Boat drive by multiple times. It was just as fun as it looked! We enjoyed the slow cruise on the water and seeing the sights in Portland through the eyes of tourists. We even learned some fun new facts that we never knew! A great introduction to the our fabulous city for any tourist :)

Very informative. Derrick was great-- funny and interesting. I work around Portland often, and he pointed out a lot of places I hadn't even noticed, giving us the history. Some beautiful views.

On an early Thursday morning I booked a tour for my visiting parents and my family for a 3:00 tour. We then proceeded to do some additional siteseeing. I checked my cell phone messages at 1:30 that afternoon and had received a message from the Duck Tour company that my group was the only group for the 3:00 tour and that it was being cancelled. I was asked to call back to confirm if I could make the 1:30 tour. Obviously we could not make the 1:30 so I called back to verify that my credit card would not be charged. I had to leave a message on a machine. I did not receive a return call so I called the company again a little after 2:00 and spoke to a woman who said that she didn't know if my card would be charged and thought that the 3:00 tour was still going to happen. She said that the guy that I need to talk to wouldn't be in the office again until 2:30. I explained that I needed to know for certain right away if the 3:00 tour would take place so we could make sure to arrive on time and didn't want to drive all the way there if it was still cancelled. She said that she didn't know and would have the guy call me. I called again 10 minutes later and she again stated that she couldn't reach the guy running the tour and that she didn't think my credit card would be charged. She told me that she would definitely have someone call me back either way. Today is Tuesday and I have still not received a call back. I'm waiting to see whether my credit card is charged or not and hopefully won't have to dispute anything.

I am happy to recommend this tour for anyone considering it. I found it to be informational as well as enjoyable. Thank you very much!

I thought it was great. The announcer knew his Portland history. I am from Boston and always have wanted to do a duck tour and have never made the time to do the Boston one. I was pleasantly suprised. Thank you

We truly enjoyed ourselves and purchasing ticket ahead was very efficient.

We learned about some of the towns history, and our children (ages 6, 6, 11 and 12) seemed to enjoy the ride.
