Don't expect much from the water part

I was really excited to go on the tour. Since it was a land/water tour, I expected to see lighthouses and the port from the water. However, you literally move in a tiny circle and don't see anything other than a sand barge. Historical facts were interesting, but in my opinion not worth the money

We have taken Duck Tours in several different states including one in Puerto Rico. We enjoyed them tremendously and had no reservations about booking them anywhere. Thanks for providing us a great time.

Fun and informative

I have been to Portland, ME several times before, yet I still found this tour fun and informative. It's always possible to learn something new! My husband and our friends were on a New England/Canada cruise and Portland was one of our ports. Rather than take this excursion through the ship (it was almost twice as expensive through the ship), I found this site through an internet search. We all throroughly enjoyed the land/sea tour of Portland and found our tour guide, Tom (I'm pretty sure that was his name), to be well informed, humorous, and fun to be with.

My husband and I were on the 10am (quack quack!) duck tour on Saturday and we both left feeling like we got a great lay of the land afterwards. Not sure who our tour guide was but he was SO funny and informative! This is definitely a tour I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Portland!

It would have been nicer if we did this tour in the summer rather than the fall since it was a little chilly. Overall it was a delightful tour. Our tour guide had a great sense of humor which made the tour.

We loved the Duck tour! Derek our tour guide and Capt. Joe were just so much fun. They had a great sense of humor, clearly know their history of Portland and were quite enthusiastic. Not only did we get to see Portland, they also made great recommendations for other things to see and do.

Great Tour!

As locals we have taken the Duck Tour before and like to offer it as an activity option to friends who are visiting from out of state. We went this time with friends from PA and all four of us (seniors) enjoyed the tour and the information very mucy.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Downeast Duck Adventures. The vehicle was more comfortable than those of any other "duck tours" we've taken (8 or 9). The guide provided interesting info about Portland, mixing his narration with funny commentary.
