Our guide was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Even as locals we learned a few facts that were unknown to us. Our driver was very careful on land and sea. It was a thoroughly enjoyable hour. Our guide was very entertaining and fully answered all the questions from the 12 year olds.

Duck Boat Delight

A beautiful , sunny October afternoon was a perfect way for my husband, 6yr old grandson and I to spend the day. My husband and I knew our grandosn would enjoy the Duck Boat ride however we were pleasantly surprised how much he enjoyed the educational portion of the tour. He turned to me and exclaimed,"Grammie,he's smart!" LOL! The ride is comfortable on land and sea. Although, I was born and raised in Maine I learned many interesting historical facts about Portland. The tour narrator added humor and fun to the tour as well as a wealth of knowledge of the area. I would highly reccomend this tour for young and old.

The tour provided a nice blend of history and interesting facts about Portland, blended with some fun for kids to enjoy. Dropping into Casco Bay adds a little excitement and provides a great view of the City and the ocean. The tour guide was knowledegable and funny. A good, solid hour -- not too short and not too long.

We took this trip to celebrate my husband's birthday (a surprise). He loved it , as did our 16 year-old. The circuit around Portland is very nice and the water portion is fun, if short. We had a gorgeous day to boot. Highly recommended. Guide was friendly, amusing even if he seemed a bit bored from doing his routine one too many times.

It was extremely informative, funny, a little interactive, and very scenic. We had our child who is 6 and he has not stopped talking about it since we left. A great experience all around.

Enjoyed the trip with my 12 year old niece from out of town, which was a lot of fun and educational. Both enjoyed it very, very much and will definitely bring other family members from out of town when they come in the fall. Thank you for a great day!

Very informative and fun. Some of us were from the area, but out of town family learned a lot too about Portland history and folklore. We thoroughly enjoyed our land and sea tour of Portland. Our guide was great.

I had a friends family visiting from NYC. The kids loved the idea of taking a 'bus' that goes in the water. The trip is fun, the 'crew' keeps the passengers engaged and interacts with them rather than just giving a 'scripted' tour. Even the people on land and sea get to be part of the tour - QUACK QUACK!! :-)

The guide was very funny, and even though I am local I learned a few things about Portland that I did not know.

Id never been on a duck tour and being new to Portland, I figured we'd go for it. The tour guide was great - funny which is always the best feature in a tour guide in my opinion. The boat portion didnt show as much as Id hoped close up but its always nice to be on the water. The land portion was very informative and showed lots of hidden gems of downtown Id never knew existed and gave us a list of things to do both with and without the kids.
