Unexpected Delight

When we first got on the Duck Tour, we weren't sure what to expect. As the bus started to move and our guide started to talk and made everyone feel welcome, we knew we made a good choice. We learned some facts about Portland as we toured the town and my kids thought going in the water in a bus was the coolest thing ever(so did my husband and I). Overall, we had a great experience. |

We took our 10 yr. old granddaughter on the Duck Tour and had a terrific time. The narrator, though short on historical detail about the area, was extremely entertaining and humorous. I was interested in learning more about the history of the city. The historical content I'd give a C+, the humor and entertainment content an A+. I recommend it highly. M.C.D. |

I just moved to Portland and wanted to take a guided tour. The tour guide was fun, the tour itself was a great overview of the City, and going out on the bay ("hahbah") was a special treat. |

On our recent Duck Tour, I, my daughters and granddaughters, had a fantastic time touring Portland. Learned all sorts of info about the city that I did not know. It was exciting to go from land to water and back out again. A great way to spend time!!! |

Being a hot day in Portland (over 90 degrees) we wanted to do something on the water. i've seen it advertised locally, so we gave it a try. The bus/boat was shaded and all open, so quite cool. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and very funny. We saw and found out alot about Portland that we never knew before. Unfortunately, we didn't see any harbor seals, but the trip was still fun. |

My grandchildren and I thoroughly enjoyed the Duck Boat Tour, laughing a lot at the corny jokes and quacking, but more importantly, really learning a lot about Portland and its history. Fun to see the city from land and sea. We recommend it to others of all ages. |

We were a fairly local group but learned quite a bit about Portland. The weather was great so it was a perfect day for it and the narrator was fun and entertaining and knew his facts. Was just about the right amount of time as well. |

The Downeast Duckboat tour of Portland and Casco Bay is terrific. We have taken this tour 3 times because it is such a hit with our kids. The tour guides provide a delightful mix of interesting historical facts and unusual, sometimes hillarious Portland trivia. The ride though the bay provides wonderful views of the city and local lighthouses. |
