Very interesting visit but mage all the more interesting and worthwhile by use of individual guide Tom Bernadin. He had a very "user friendly" wat of conducting his tour.

Fascinating descriptions of Ellis and Liberty Islands and role of these places in development of America. Much better than any museum movie or descriptions since Tom explains what really happened to a new immigrant when arriving at the Island and what the place really looked like. Having a personal tour guide with such knowledge exceeds all expectations. Also arriving very early in the day is the only way to avoid the long lines that exist after 10 am. You need to be on the first boat. He will be offering Greenwich Villiage tours soon.

Time spent on this tour was very worthwhile. Tom is very personable as well as knowledgeable, but most importantly, he takes a personal interest in those taking the tour....making sure he addresses their particular interests. The fact that he sincerely enjoys what he is doing is very evident. We would likely take this tour again on a return visit to New York.
