| We had a great tour leader named Kim, who was chalk full of information and had a great sense of humor. It was a really great way to hang for a couple hours in the Castro! |

| This was my first tour with FOOTtours and in the Castro as well. My friend and I had a great time. Our guide was very informative and to see the place where Harvey Milk once lived and worked was very interesting and affecting.
The only thing I would like to criticize is that our tour only lasted 1.5 hours. I assume that there's so much more out there to talk about that I would've preferred to be there a little longer.
Besides that I could totally recommend this tour and will try out another one with them in the future. |

| The good humour and fun we expected from this tour was wonderfully delivered by Kim. We were a smaller group and he tailored it to us specifically. We met some great people in the group, lasting friends and Kim provided some wonderful suggestions for eating out and partying on in the area. (...all the suggestions delivered!) |

| Kim was an interesting and informative tour guide, and we learned so much about gay rights and gay "firsts" - the rainbow flag, the first gay bars, first openly gay elected officials. Brilliant to see Harvey Milk's shop and hear about the making of the film. Loved the humour and the "campness" of the boa as a competition prize! Thanks so much, a really worthwhile activity. |

| Kim was an excellent guide. He provided a witty, factual insight into the history of the Castro. It was good to learn about the history of the area in general as well as gay history.
Kim's combination of humour, quizzes and quotes made the tour fun as well as informative. And how could we forget having the opportunity to walk around the castro wearing a rainbow feather boa!
We would strongly recommend this tour. Don't just think about it - do it! |

| For quite a while my wife and I thought about taking a guided tour through the Castro and when some friends had recommended FOOTtours (and after checking the internet for ourselves) we decided to be part of the "Come Out To The Castro"-Tour. And guess what? We loved it! We had a hilarious, funny and educating tour through the district, a great guide who gave us an "insight" view of life in the Castro throughout the ages and even quite a few "up-to-date - what's in at the moment" tips. I will definitely check out other tours by FOOTtours as well because this one was simply perfect. THANKS! |

| The Come Out to the Castro walking tour was a highlight of our trip to San Francisco. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I learned much more than I ever expected about the history of the Castro neighborhood. Had a great time. |

| Tour was indeed fun, but somehow from the website photos I expected some six foot plus drag queen or some other equally over-the-top character. Updating vendor website (FOOTtours), maybe with photos of the area?? may be more authentic. Rest assured, though, the guide is great and so is the tour.
Much of the information covered was of a serious and sobering nature so the lighthearted approach quite literally provided comic relief. Wouldn't want to do this tour any other way.
Guide gave plenty of information in excellent detail. He wove together many trivial bits into a cohesive "greater than the parts" whole.
Tour was a good pace, both in delivery of information and ground covered, but felt a little rushed initially due to late start waiting for one no-show. Kim was very attentive and gave us a requested break of a quite reasonable length of time. He was patient with all questions and thoroughly knowledgeable. I learned so many new things, I wish I'd taken notes to remember it all!
As an older straight woman, I never felt unwelcome. Kim made an effort to briefly speak with each and every one of us personally.
My daughter and I even enjoyed arriving early and having lunch at our designated meeting place.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this tour to adults of any orientation. When visiting San Francisco, this is not to be missed! |
