Not very funny

I was disappointed in the performance of our guide. The tour was not really funny and a disappointment since this was supposed to be a comedy walking tour. I've been on several comedy walking tours in other cities and been pleased with the comedy aspect. This simply wasn't what it was advertized to be.

AJ took us on a wonderful tour of the city. We could not believe how many different areas we covered in 3 hours. She shared interesting information all along the way. Our group was all over 50 and the walk was a breeze. We highly recommend this tour to tourtists and locals alike. Thanks AJ!

Best Tours EVER!

Came to San Fran from Australia and found the Whole Shebang and the Castro tours on the net. The whole shebang was taken by the incredible AJ who absolutely rocks - give her a pay rise and never ever let her go EVER :-) Brad and I had the tour to ourselves and it truely was the best tour ever. The Castro tour was taken by Kim who also rocks and even though it was a big group he made sure we still had a great time and were all involved. I have not stopped raving to everyone who will listen about these two tours and I would say to anyone living or visiting San Fran, if they do nothing else, do these tours! Hugs Mick

The Whole Shebang tour on May 31, 2010

We were first time visitors to San Francisco. The tour was fun and informative. It had a good pace. Because we had a large group (it was Memorial Day) the tour took about 3 hours and 20 minutes. With the hills you need to be in okay shape to take the tour.

Enjoyable day

Spent a fun and informative three hours walking through three of the city's more interesting neighborhoods -- Nob Hill, Chinatown and North Beach -- and hearing about everything from the early settlers to more current events. The group was a reasonable size and it was easy to hear the narrative and ask questions of the guide, who was very knowledgeable about the city and its history.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our guide. We learned so much about the city of San Francisco and it's history. It made me realize that I need to take a walking tour of my own city (Victoria BC) in the near future! Thank you.

Our group of 2 couples thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. We have visited SF many times but still learned a lot! The pace was perfect and The Whole Shebang covered many interesting tidbits.

We had a great time and learned a lot even though we've been visiting the City for decades. We had a wonderful guide who loved San Francisco even more than we do; she was knowledgeable, funny and patient with our many questions. We were also lucky to be the only ones on the tour. We took the 3 hour walking tour and plan on taking other tours in the future. Thanks!

Great overview of San Francisco

Weather was suitable for a walking tour - really important as you are out for 3 hours or more. Guide was knowledgeable and highlighted a number of historic insights. Recommend but not for family with small children.

A very good method in which to get a grasp on the city's history. A lot of time and effort went into our guide's presentation.
