| We both learned a great deal. I am a native San Franciscan with a fair knowledge of the city and its history. However, I learned many new and interesting facts. I was espciallly pleased about how our guide structured the tour to relate to me and my grandson---a bright 11 year old.
Many thanks,

Our tour guide was AJ, and she made the tour a fantastic experience. With a blend of humor and knowledge, we explored the history and legends of Nob Hill, Chinatown and North Beach. The tour lasted longer than 3 hours, and all our questions were answers and anticipated. We recommend this highly.

I was born in SF (3rd generation), spending only the first 9 years of my life there. As an adult, my family enjoys regular trips to the city for dinner, shows and other activities. The Whole Shebang was quite informative and Tom pointed out so many things that have been right in front of our eyes for years but never noticed! The city is magical and the stories of how it came to be were very enlightening. To our surprise, our tour was only the two of us with Tom - too bad - it would have been fun to have experienced this with a larger group.

My friends and I had decided to fly to San Francisco for a long weekend trip. We found the Whole Shebang tour on line and decided to give it a try. It was a very good choice. Our guide was fun and informative. We took the tour our first day and it helped to show us the sights and history of San Francisco so that for the rest of our trip we had a better understanding of the city. We would highly recommend this tour. We did have one problem. We were given stick on name tags at the beginning of the walk and when it came to the end, one of my friends could not get it off of her jacket. Don't wear the name tags.

We very much enjoyed our tour - three hours is a long time, but there was plenty of information provided, and our guide helped make it enjoyable with bits of humor along the way. The notebook of historical pictures also helped put things in perspective - we could see how the neighborhoods used to look, and compare them to the current structures. We always enjoy walking around when visiting a "new" city, and have done walking tours in several cities - this was one of the best we've done, and I'm happy to recommend it to others.

My adult daughter and I were very entertained - and learned a lot, too! Tom was a great tour guide. We had so much fun with the small group we were with that we continued on our own down to the wharf afterwards and had a late lunch together. Would definitely do it again!

Anson was the guide. My main criticism is that I wish his voice was louder. Our group consisted of 6 people, but I can't imagine having a larger group and fighting to get close enough to the guide to hear him. I suggest that the guides wear a small mic. Given city noise like traffic and construction it would be helpful. There were times that I could not hear what was being said. Who knows how many tidbits I missed. It would have been nice if at the beginning, he had us all introduce each other. I expected more of a comedian as well. Anson was reasonably funny. Though he had many facts at his fingertips, I was expecting more. Example: the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral, I would have thought he knew more about it. The distance covered was just right, not too long. Maybe my expectations were too high? I don't know. I wouldn't let this experience prevent me from trying a foot tour again, at least one more time.
