Fun and Hilly!

A small group led by a very gregarious Kevin explored the centre of San Francisco. We were quizzed, informed and exercised on the steep hills. Kevin was a great guide and was knowledgeable about history, engineering (well he knew about the cables in cable cars!) and where to get fresh fortune cookies. Our family (comprising parents and teens) saw the City through the eyes of a local and we all had fun.

Kevin, our guide, was very well informed on the History of San Francisco. Our tour was 3 hours, but most of the time was spent listining to Kevin's narritive. An easy walk with few hills. Our group consisted of only 2 of us, so we could move at at out pace. Most interesting was the pre 1906 earthquake history and the development that followed. China Town was a treat as we had never been there before, but have been to China town in Singapore recently and it felt just the same. Well worth the time and money. Thanks Kevin

I am a tour guide in the city as well and wanted, not only to spend a great day with friends walking around the city, but also to get more history in this history rich city we live in. Kurt was our guide and I will say his tour was well paced, well informed and funny. I learned a lot and his delivery was casual, but informative. It was a great day all the way around!

AJ was a great tour guide. She gave us insights to the city that we would have never known or seen or our own.

A good way to get to know a few of the essential neighborhoods in SF. Packed with fun facts and our guide had a great sense of humor, which made the tour that much more fun. It was nice to have an interactive educational experience...great to be able to ask questions and have a dialogue (vs being on a guided tour where one only listens and is talked AT).

The knowledgable guide leads you through 3 different neighbourhoods in San Francisco without too much of walking considering the 3 hours the tour takes. It helps to understand history better and to see the area differently. The guide also offers help to find a good restaurant and how to get around. Suggest to anyone to take the tour at the beginning of a stay in the city to make the most of the visit.

Our guide, Kurt was great. A good overview of that part of SF. I'd recommend two changes: 1. start at 930 so it ends at a more reasonable lunch time 2. at the end, be helpful if he recommended places to eat. We had only 5 on our tour and 3 or us from Union Sq....so we climbed up to the top of he hill...only to walk back down....maybe a way to fine tune the stsrting point???? you knew where we were staying..... and his recommendation for House of Nanking for dinner was right on, plus the elevator from St. Mary's Sq. to Chinatown.......who knew?
