Great tour for locals and visitors

| I, a local, had never been on this type of tour and thought it looked interesting when looking for activities for my two visiting nephews (age 19). We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour - it was fun, educational, and a great and different way to view and explore (parts of) the city. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny, easy to follow, and interesting. The tour - history-wise - focused mainly on the original settling of the city plus the rebuilding of the city after the 1906 earthquake/fire. Not that this wasn't interesting, but I think I was expecting a bit more comprehensive historical perspective (like what's been going on over the last 100 years?). I may have misinterpreted the description of the tour... and/or maybe three hours just isn't enough time to cover 160 years ;) I would recommend this tour to anyone - and I'll keep it at the top of my list for all future visitors. | ||||||

| This was an entertaining and informative trip back to the late sixties and it was great to see where all the well known names like Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Charles Manson hung out. Also incredible to see where the Hells Angels lived - across the street from the Dead! It was a delight to see that the spirit of the psycadelic 60's is still alive with stories to be told and landmarks to be admired. Friendly guide Kurt explained that rather than bringing flowers as exhorted by Scott McKenzie, teenagers across america would have been better off bringing medical supplies and footware for the summer of love. | ||||||

| We very much enjoyed our tour - three hours is a long time, but there was plenty of information provided, and our guide helped make it enjoyable with bits of humor along the way. The notebook of historical pictures also helped put things in perspective - we could see how the neighborhoods used to look, and compare them to the current structures. We always enjoy walking around when visiting a "new" city, and have done walking tours in several cities - this was one of the best we've done, and I'm happy to recommend it to others. | ||||||

| I would have liked to learn more about the nob hill residents and seen the Fairmont Lobby. Probably should have a longer tour on that item alone. Anson was fun- but I wouldn't necessarily tout your business as a comedy walking tour. | ||||||

Fair, pleasent, but barely 'comedic'

| Although it was fun to walk around and hear about the history of the city, the tour wasn't all that humorous. I've had non-comedic tours with as much humor and fun. I'd say that any tour has as much likelihood of being funny as this one was. | ||||||

| This was my first tour with FOOTtours and in the Castro as well. My friend and I had a great time. Our guide was very informative and to see the place where Harvey Milk once lived and worked was very interesting and affecting. The only thing I would like to criticize is that our tour only lasted 1.5 hours. I assume that there's so much more out there to talk about that I would've preferred to be there a little longer. Besides that I could totally recommend this tour and will try out another one with them in the future. | ||||||

| We had a great time with Kim, He knew so much and was very funny. He was very personable and kept us engaged. He read us well and knew what we would want to experience. I had been to the Castro before, but didn't know any of the history, this tour was the way to go. I would highly recommend this tour and Kim. | ||||||

| My adult daughter and I were very entertained - and learned a lot, too! Tom was a great tour guide. We had so much fun with the small group we were with that we continued on our own down to the wharf afterwards and had a late lunch together. Would definitely do it again! | ||||||

| Blake and I enjoyed our tour. It was the highlight of our trip to San Francisco! We now know more about San Francisco than we do about our home city. We were especially happy that the tour wound it's way down hill! We will recommend this to our friends who are also planning a trip to San Francisco! AJ was a wonderful tour guide! Thank you so much Stefanie | ||||||

| Our tour guide was timely and enthusiastic, but we didn't find much humor in the tour, despite the fact that it was billed as a comedy tour. The information provided was helpful and informational. Some of the attempted jokes were not appropriate for school-aged children. Recommend including this note on your Web site. An easy walk, avoiding the steep hills. | ||||||
