Halibut are big fish that range from 30 to 80 pounds. We have a buddy system so that if you get tired someone else will help you reel in your fish!

  • U.S.C.G. inspected vessels
  • The safest bar crossing on the South Oregon coast
  • Family fun and adventure

Halibut meat is a delicious Pacific Northwest delicacy - catch some of your own and make battered halibut and chips, grill some halibut steaks, or smoke or sautée the fish! Nothing can beat the taste and flavor of fresh Oregon ocean caught fish!

What have you been catching recently?
5/10/13 - We are having great weather here on the southern Oregon coast. Our first off shore halibut trip went real well. Everyone caught their limit of one halibut each with a nice average. The sport halibut limit is 1 pacific halibut per person.
What kind of fishing trips do you have?
We have a variety of different fishing trips available. Our half day rock fishing trips are near shore ocean bottom fishing trips that are 5 hours in duration. We also feature seasonal ocean salmon trips, spring & summer offshore 12 hour halibut trips, and summer tuna trips! To view our calendar, click on the "Calendar of Other Activities" link on the left of the page.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?

Which boat will I be on and how many people can go on it at once?
You will either be on the Betty Kay or the Shamrock. The Betty Kay is a 50' delta fiberglass vessel that can accommodate up to 20 fishermen, and the Shamrock is a 47' youngquist wood vessel that can accommodate up to 15 fishermen. Sometimes we will take both boats out fishing (total 35 passengers). Please note that if you have more than 20 people in your group, you will need to be split up onto two different vessels if we are taking both out. Both vessels catch fish real well and are famous on the Southern Oregon coast!
How many hours do we fish?
You fish for approximately 8 hours for halibut or until limits are caught (we will head back to shore early if limits are caught, but this hardly ever happens!).
Is there food served on the trip?

Will I get a discount if I bring my own rod & reel?
No.
Are electric reels allowed?
No.
How far is it out to the fishing grounds?
