Our tour guide Cindy was wonderful. She was energetic and informed. The amount of food was much more than expected and it was all really good. We would definitely recommend this tour and when we return to NYC we would consider one of the other tours i

Lots of tastings in a very busy environment

My tour was on a Saturday when the market was very busy. There were only 6 in the group, it could have been difficult to manage more. I think the tour would be improved if the sequence was better arranged with perhaps fewer tastings and a bit calmer and measured approach. The guide was very entertaining but always seemed to have to dash off to arrange the next tasting. Perhaps there could be a little more outside the market. The Foods of New York Greenwich tour is a good model to follow.

The tour was wonderful. It was filled with good food, laughter and some interesting NY history. The blend of all three made the tour so very enjoyable, thanks to Darrell!

Great way to learn about NYC neighborhood history

We enjoyed the Greenwich tour in the past. It was a lot more walking and less eating. The Chelsea market tour is just one amazing restaurant, gourmet bakery and candy shop, specialty brew shop/wine shop after another. What a fun afternoon. Seriously, do not eat after 9 am before coming to this tour. Walking the Highline Park and learning about the neighborhood history was fantastic too. We finished off with a delightful group, mini-meal in the Meatpacking district. We now feel like we have a new NYC hood to hang around in - knowing all the hot spots and history and gossip. It would take multiple visits to NYC to achieve the knowledge you receive in 3 hours of fun and deliciousness with this tour!

It was a good tour. I had an opportunity to try little bits from a lot of place. I would not have been able to do that without the tour. I also really thought that the history was interesting as I saw the revitalization that occurred in that one area and I can take it back to my home town and share

We loved our tour of the Chelsea Market and meat packing district. Our tour guide was informative and entertaining. The food included a wide variety, good sized portions, and all were tasty. It was a hightlight of our trip.

disappointing

I had taken the Greenwich village tour a few years ago and loved it. Also did a food tour in Charleston SC and it was also great. Tasting salt on a cucumber or tartar on a potato chip did not do anything for me. We were left standing for longer periods of time, had much less to taste, and do to the noise it was hard to hear Bob - all which left me with a disappointing experience. The time it took to cut up, serve, or pass things around with only one person being served, took a lot of time. this would be a better 2 hour tour. The outside walking, getting info on the highline and buildings and the end of the tour was the only positive part of the tour.

We had a wonderful afternoon.

We had a wonderful afternoon. Our tour guide, Cindy was very knowledgable and fun loving. She had endless bits of history about the area and it made the tour so interesting. The food was outstanding and all the vendors/shop owners very pleasant and helpful, too. They same like a family. Our time on the High Line was perfect too, with a delicious sit down in a lovely restaurant. Would highly recommend the trip, especially if you are a "foodie".

Fantastic Experience!

I surprised my husband for our Anniversary and it was just a blast. Cindy, our guide, was extremely informative and enthusiastic about food-----which made each bite of our experience amazing! I highly recommend this as a great date! Sure, you could just go to the Market, but you would miss out on secret spots and really cool architectural and historical references. It makes the place more interactive. We plan on attending more of these food tours!
