Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

I thouroughly give Curtis a thumbs up on our food tour-curtis was funny,engaging, thought provoking, educational-everything you would want in a tour guide-I did not want the tour to end-and a Canadian no less- if only native New Yorkers could be this knowledeable- A+++++++!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go,boy!

I really enjoyed the areas that we were taken too, but would have liked to try more food. The portions were really small and we also entered places where we didn't try their foods

This was one of the best experiences we had in NYC. The Guide was informative and funny, loved all of the background and historical information. And, the food was absolutely fabulous! We visited shops that we likely may have passed by and purchased delicious gifts to take back home. My 82 year old Mother, 17 year old Daughter and I all had a terrific time proving that it is a great activity for a wide range of age groups.

My Mom and I went on this tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide was very informative, enthusiastic, friendly and made the tour absolutely fantastic (I forgot his name! He has red hair). The tastings were good but would have liked to have more substantial tastings...skip the salt and oil tastings and replace perhaps with meats from that store we visited. Left feeling very full and happy! Highly recommended!!!

The food samplings and information on this tour were fabulous! The only down side was the weather, which was not accommodating for the last hour of the tour that we spent outside. We could have cut out about 40 minutes and gone straight to the last tasting.

Teenage son and mom attended the Chelsea food tour, the second tour hosted by Food Tours of New York, and once again we had a fabulous time learning all about the history of the meat packing district and the Chelsea food market. What a wonderful event. I always recommend the food tours to my friends. And they have the best tour guides, three years later i still recommend Cindy and now i can recommend tours hosted by Bob. Keep up the great job.

We loved the entire tour especially Cindy. Only suggestion is a would prefer dessert at the end.

This was the second time I took the tour within a 4 year span. The first time was with "the girls" and my husband was jealous. This time was a birthday present for him. The tour was different enough to make the it exciting once again. Our tour guide, Darren, was terrific. He was very informed and made it fun. I was disappointed that The Lobster Place was not open, but will survive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves NYC and food.

My tour guide Diana was so knowledgeable and gave us such a great overview of the local area history as well as that of the current day Food Market itself. All the shops and restaurants visited were fantastic and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York!

The tour was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! We had an abundance of food and it was all delicious! Our tour director, Dianna was fun and had extensive knowledge of the marketplace as well as the surrounding area.
