This was the second tour I have taken with Foods of New York - and I have been lucky to have Kurt both times! Kurt is very enthusiastic and energetic - a great personality to discover this area. The markets were great and the food samplings were all delicious. We ended up going back to the market on our own and to one of the restaurants in the Meatpacking District for dinner a couple of weeks later. The tour is a great opportunity to get to know about stores and restaurants that you would not get by going it alone!

Food with a view

The tour was not only ample in food and variety - but a "view" on the origin, evolution of not only the food but the district was fantastic. I would most certainly recommend this tour - Curtis was fantastic and our group was great in energy. I don't see how you could not have a great time.

My friend and I had the BEST time with our guide. He was super knowledeable and funny! The food was excellent and it was a great way to see a part of NYC we may have not otherwise have chosen to visit. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Hi - we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our guide Diana was terrific. There was tons of food and we ate everything. The quality was some of the best in the city. Would recommend to anyone who was interested in food and New York with some history thrown in!

It was our second day in NY and Diana was just bursting with information for us. A most enjoyable day packed with treats of all sorts. Good value too. Highly recommended.

a "delicious" discovery of NY history and culture

We went to the tour, not really knowing what to expect. We loved it; was a great way of discovering NY history, culture and food (food IS culture!). The guide (Diana) was warm, lively and knowledgeable and seemed to love what she was doing. The Chelsea market is a good illustration of how to smoothly pass from the industrial to the post-industrial age. We will certainly use food tasting tours on our future trips to NY to discover other parts of the city and the heritage.

This was a great tour, it's absolutely worth it, the food is great at the guide was very entertaining. Little tip though: don't have a late breakfast before the tour starts, but that's probably common sense now that i think of it. Too bad we didn't have any more time to try one of the other food tours! Next time...
