We had heard firsthand from friends how great the Greenwich Village tour is, but one in our party had already been on it, so this was our second choice. We were ALL delighted with our experience on every level. The market is full of quality purveyors and we enjoyed a lot of tasty food. Along the way our guide sprinkled many interesting nuggets of information regarding the food in terms of history, how to know quality, suggestions for preparations, backgrounds on the shops, etc. He also gave us a great background on the Nabisco factory, the history of the neighborhood and the way it was developed by a thoughtful investor. The market would be a terrific choice in dicey weather, as most of the shops on the tour were inside. The day we went was absolutely perfect weather and the walk up to the High Line was a lovely change of scene. There are beautiful vistas, urban landscaping, great design and public art at every turn. It made us all want to spend more time there. The tour ended in the Meatpacking district, in close proximity to the Market, with one last sit-down tasting that was as delicious as the rest and came with another side order of history and background that made it all the more interesting. Our guide was EXCELLENT and made us laugh the entire time, all the while bestowing his great appreciation for this little sliver of New York. We would all do it again in a heartbeat. |

My son, who is attending Chef school in Canada and I, who can't boil water without burning it, signed up for the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District Food Tasting Tour. Despite our vastly different knowledge about / interest in food, we both thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. The food was great, the venue is fascinating and the pace was perfect. |

Met with a group of friends and we were fortunate to have Diana as our guide. She is knowledgable and funny, and really kept things interesting. We learned about the history of Chelsea market and got to taste all sorts of delicious food. If you are looking for a fun, tasty way to experience NYC, this is it. |

We had gone on the Greenwich Village Food Tour about 2 1/2 years ago and loved it, espcially our tour guide Kirk. Decided to sign up for the Chelsea Market Tour for myself, my two grown daughters, and their boyfriends. I am from out of state, but the others live in New York and had never been on this tour. Much to our surprise and delight, Kirk showed up as our guide once again for this tour! He didn't disappoint and impressed us all with not only his knowledge of the building and area history, but his knowledge of food. And as before, his quick wit and ability to instantly learn the name of everyone in the group was highly entertaining. As before, I highly recommend. Oh, and the food was good as well--ended the tour feeling like we had eaten enough that we didn't need to eat lunch. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour adventure in the Chelsea Marketplace and Meatpacking District. The tour was rich with history, and our guide was so entertaining and engaged. We didn't expect to have the variety of tastings that we had on the tour. The lobster bisque was our fav and I would definitely recommend this walking tour to any foodie. My family enjoyed hearing about each restaurant and the stories of the owners in addition to the food. We will definitely book another food tour when in NYC again. |

This was an excellent activity, but the docent, Kurt Upton, made the experience exceptional. He was extremely well informed, funny and accomodating. My 25 yr old daughter thought so too. |

Our guide, Darryl, was wonderful! We learned so much about not only the Market but the history of the entire Chelsea area and neighborhood. He was funny, engaging, and answered all questions. And the food! Tastes from so many different places, finishing up with a sit-down at an Italian restaurant?? Huh? Fantastic. We have done food tours in NYC before as well as Boston and this was one of the best. |
