This tour was so much fun! We enjoyed wonderful food and Bob was a most excellent guide! He knows so much about the history of New York and is funny and sweet! There were 4 of us ranging from 23-50 and we all adored Bob and thoroughly enjoyed the tour!!

Dianah was a great hostess/tour guide. She was full of good information which included history of the area and what is happening now. This was our third 'Foods of NY Tour' and the food we tasted was excellent as usual. My only negative comment would be the stops into the 'Iron Chef' restaurants. I have no idea who these 'chefs' are and really not interested. There were no food tastings and it was like we were sneaking around for a look at the establishment.

My husband and our teenage son and I took this tour and got to taste approximately ten different items from various markets and stores. All the places were first rate and the items were very tasty. We went back after the tour and purchased several gifts and checked out some areas that we had not had time for. Well worth the time and money.

As native New Yorkers (from Long Island) we had never been on this type of tour in NY - we were very pleased with the guide, loved learning about the Chelsea Market and surrounding area and had a lovely 3 hours on a Sunday morning - what could be better!

This tour was great. We had some great samples from stores in the Chelsea Market and one restaurant in the old meat packing district. They mention the Iron chef restaurants, but we only went into one , no tasting there. Our guide, Barri, was great and knew a lot about the area. We also went upon the "Highline" this was great as well. The tour was the full 3 hours, a lot of walking but one of the best tours that we took while in New York.

Our tour was great fun! I cant remember who led the tour, may have been Curt, but he was full of knowledge about the market itself and the providores, and his humour throughout kept us going through the many tastings. Time flew by and before we knew it we were eating at Macelleria. I had in Morimoto for a bathroom stop, pressing all the buttons!!! The highline was definitely worth the visit and it looked like a relaxing place to be especially the day we were there as it was lovely and sunny. Foods of New York Tours was a recommendation and I will certainly recommend them to anyone going to NYC.
