Our guide, Curt, was fabulous. His enthusiasm pervaded the event. The pace of the tour was perfect and the samples of the food superb! I highly recommend the tour, the location the guide! We, unfortunately, had horrible weather, but the tour was great in spite of the weather and Curt worked around it very well.

best foodie tour ever

I've tried to take a food tour in every city I've visited. This is my third tour in NYC. Curt is the BEST guide ever. He's a chef, a stand up comedian, and knows so many NY stories. Nothing better. This is a long walking tour, so if you're not up to that, beware. But it's a great tour and I'd do it again!

My friends and I had a blast! Curt made sure everyone had fun! He knew everyone by name and then made us into a crazy dysfunctional family. We were offered delicious and interesting foods! The tour was entertaining and would be informative if you weren't laughing so hard at the Curt's jokes. There was more food than you could eat but you quickly learned to pace yourself. My vegetarian friend was also treated well by being offered a veggie option when needed. I would go on this tour again, but I will not eat lunch before I go.

We had a fabulous tour with Kurt or the Chelsea Market Tour. The food was great. I definitely will go back to many of the places we sampled and will bring a cooler along with an empty belly for lunch and dinner. Kurt, our tour guide, was great. He was humerus and knowledgeable. I'd love to have him a again as a guide for other tours. This tour is a must.

FANTASTIC!

HIGHLY recommend this tour. The only negative was that we did it on a Saturday and it was VERY crowded, other than that, it was worth every penny and better than we expected. Darrell was fantastic as our tour guide. We sampled a lot more than I thought we would and everything was fantastic. We are now looking at other food tours to do next time we are in the city.

Delicious Discovery

My husband and I had a great time learning about the history of the Meatpacking District of yesteryear in NYC and one man's vision to develop the Chelsea Market. Our guide, Bob, was the best - very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, with a great sense of humor. There were a variety of food samplings of generous proportions and all were very tasty. We did not walk away hungry. I highly recommend this tour to those who like to learn about the culture and history of our nation.

Too expensive, too crowded, bad food quality
Sun, Oct 19  2:30 PM nnoguera Female 50-59 Combination Couple on a Date
Our guide was quite knowledgeable, a show-off but polite individual. On the Sunday we took the tour the Chelsea market was too crowded which made moving around as a group difficult. We were disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything was just packed with calories, nothing was healthy. Besides, on the times we were sitting to try food there was never enough chairs for everybody in our group. I have done already the tour on the West Village and it was much, much better in terms of information about the neighborhood, the food and the quality of the whole experience . Honestly, I do not recommend the Chelsea Market- Meat packing area to any one. You can find all the information the guide provided in any guide of NY. So, go by yourself to the Chelsea Market, the Highland Park, choose your own food and save the tip to the waiter in a good restaurant.

Our tour guide, Cindy, was both knowledgeable and entertaining! We enjoyed all the food samples and the information she gave us about Chelsea Market and the surrounding area. We certainly did not need a meal after sampling all the good food on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and hope to experience one of the other food tours on my next visit.
