Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

I really enjoyed it and our guide was really knowledgeable about both surroundings and food. I did however expect that we should visit more popular restaurants and that all restaurants would include tasting, but the tour was mostly inside Chelsea market and tasting only on a few of the restaurants.

My grown daughter and I enjoyed this tour a lot. The guide, Kurt, was amazing with his anecodotes and his enthusiasm. The sites that we visited were interesting. I learned about the district and tried some amazing food. The group size was good and the tour was good value for the money. We didn't need lunch after the tour.

Chelsea/Meatpacking District tour - I learned so much about the neighbourhood and it's characters in such an enjoyable atmosphere. The tastings were great and I went back for more of Eleni's cupcakes and to soak up more of the market atmosphere . This was my second Food Tour of NY and definitely not something to be missed. Can't wait to try other neighbourhoods the next time around. Bring your comfortable shoes, you will be on your feet most of the time.

Interesting tour in a block I probably would have missed otherwise. Fascinating stories and delicious tastings; especially the Italian shop and the lobster-shop.

Having been to New York many times, we look for slightly different activities now. This tour, led by Darrell was just brilliant. Chelsea Markets and the Meatpacking District were areas we didn't know well and Darrell was a mine of information, both historical and culinary, with some hilarious personal insights thrown in for good measure. Great food samples and definitely no need for lunch afterwards!

The tour was an interesting introduction to the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District. The food tastings were plentiful and it really was more than enough food for lunch. There was plenty of time for browsing the shops in the market during the tour.

Daryl our guide was informative and entertaining. The group of 7 ladies from England had a wonderful time. I would say, do not eat before you go. Also we were running late...how rude. But the tour office met us and walked us back to the main group. Its so comforting to know our custom was important. Daryl was not just a beautiful Texan face, but know lots of interesting facts about the area. Some of which would not be found in the glossy guide books! Highly recommended.

Thank you to our amazing guide Daryl from Dallas Texas he made our Chelsea/Meatpacking food tour so much fun and the food was yummy too. I had treated my Mum to a suprise 65th Birthday weekend in NYC and we both love to cook so I thought this tour would suit us. It was really small and personal which we loved and we had great food along the way. Thank you for a fun morning, we will have to do the Greenwich one next time we are in town!
