Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Chelsea was great but I felt the tour would have been more enjoyable it it had been an hour shorter. Our guide was professional and knowledgeable but made a point that he wouldn't be making much money because there happened to be so few on the tour that day - so I felt guilty the entire time. Outside of the market there really isn't much happening but I very much enjoyed the market part of the tour and the lobster bisque was sensational.

We attended the Chelsea market and meat packing tour our guide was Bob and he was a complete star, he made us feel very welcome and was a fountain of knowledge on the local area you really need to go hungry because the food tasters dont stop coming. I would highly recommend this tour it gave us an insight into a part of NYC we would probably not have tried.

Our tour guide had lots of information about the Chelsea Market history. We stayed mostly inside, since it was January, but we did see the elevated parkway and some of the surrounding area. The food was a treat. I've recommended it to friends and plan to take my husband on our next trip.

this was my second visit to new york and as a great lover of food and drink and struggling to find decent quality reasonable venues for meals and ingredients the tour was brilliant. Various food items and areas from cookies and baking to fine deli style produce and italian, definately no requirement to eat again until dinner as i was stuffed!! Gave me a great insight into the area and pointed out some fantastic venues that i will certainly visit next time i'm in new york. Thanks again

This tour is a great combination of history, tid-bits of information, gossip and the spirit of the places we had visited, coupled with great food tasting. The 3 hours went by quickly given the interesting facts, food items and locations. The instructor was very knowledgable and very enthusiastic about the place. In short, its a no miss tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience (as much as we did 9 years ago in Greenwich Village) and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and certainly do another one when next in New York.

We had a great time. The guide was wonderful, very competent and enthusiastic. There was a large variety of food to try and taste. Interesting details about the district and the planned development. We would book the tour again!

the guide Bob was professional interesting knowledgable and very nice. Tasting was delicious. The stories we heard were new to us and we enjoyed the tour and will highly recommend it to our friends
