Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

We had a great time on our Meat Packing District tour. A good portion of the time was spent in Chelsea Market, but that's a good thing. I never realized how many great/interesting and yummy places are in there. It was great to learn about the history of the area, especially since I live here and visit it often. This tour made me realize how little I knew about my own city. The outdoor portion around the Meat Packing area was very interesting and I will definetly be returning to the area with a different perspective. Our tour guide was great too! I would definetly do this again!

I had been on your Greenwich Village tour last Fall and enjoyed it that much that I looked forward to joining another tour when next in NY. So my husband and I were in NY this past weekend, I insisted we try this tour and we had a ball. Our guide, Bob, was excellent - friendly, knowledgable, funny...just loved the guy! Right size group of about 15. Bob was very solicitiious of a young pregnant woman in our group, as well as making sure that the two vegetarians were provided for - he was wonderful! Every location we visited was welcoming and the samples were way more than sample size. This is a great way to go to areas of New York that we aren't familiar with. We literally get a 'taste' and then can go back for more on our own. Looking forward to trying yet another tour next visit. Many thanks to you and especially Bob!

Yes you have to do the Broadway shows and shop, but to really experience NYC, we highly recommend the Chelsea Market Food Tour. Who knew learning about the area and eating fabulous food would exceed our expectations! Not boring, and kudos to our guide who answered our questions and really knew the place well. We were there in Feb. and the walking is mostly inside (didn't know that), so no problems being cold or wishing it would be over. We loved it! Now we want to come back and do another Food tour in a different location. Oh, and we also recommend that you don't have a huge breakfast that morning! lol

Darryl our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. We sampled loads of different foodstuffs and had a great tour of the market and Meatpacking area - not to mention the hi-tec bathroom! Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Food tour while in new york.the only thing I really wanted to do.we chose chelsea market be cause we had read about it.our guide, curt was fantastic, the food great curt knew everything you could want to know. This has got to be on your next visit.hope you get curt for a guide, folks it doen't get any better than this. Don't worry you won't leave hungry.

Our tour guide, Diane, was fantastic. She did an excellent job explaining Chelsea Market's history in an informative and entertaining way.

My daughter and I were originally from New York. She now lives in Wisconsin while I live in Illinois. My daughter, who had taken the Chelsea Market and Greenwich Village tours, and I, who also had done the Greenwich Village tour seven years ago, really enjoyed the Chelsea Market Tour, It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot and of course the food was very good. Our guide, Curt, was great and funny. He certainly did much to make the tour so enjoyable. I must state that the tour worked very well for me - I am 81 and must use a walker and I had no problem. My only negative was that I could not order our tickets on-line for some reason and had to telephone. However, the young man that I spoke to was very helpful. I would highly recomend this tour to anyone who would like to learn about the area, to have some fun and have some tasty food. Patricia McCafferty Walter
